♫If I didn't have you, it'd be worse for me.
I'm made of shadow, you're made of flesh,
Whoever thought that we would mesh.♫

Ho Yay, woo-oo!

  • Webby/Lena shipping began just from previews, when "The Beagle Birthday Massacre!" released it exploded. This also means that the ship is nothing new as Webby/Minima was a popular Toy Ship for comic fans. And as of "Jaw$!", it's just made all the more obvious. 'Beautiful idiot' indeed. "The Other Bin of Scrooge McDuck" feeds the ship further with 'you snoring angel'. And to top it off, the finale produced a fair number of new shippers when Webby described Lena as 'noble teen ne'er-do-well who can break into anything, including your heart'. Both she and Dewey look mildly shocked after the declaration, as if they just realized the implications, themselves. "Friendship Hates Magic!", as expected, gives more material — including on Lena’s part; while she turns out to also have good reason to distrust Violet, her annoyance with Webby's deciding to talk to her is very green-eyed-monster-like, and she angrily refers to their conversation as a "love-fest". Lena especially made fans go more into the shipping when she screams out the line "She's mine!" to Violet.
    • "Nightmare on Killmotor Hill", their next episode together, really piles on just how close Webby and Lena are. The episode opens with Lena giving Webby a "Friendiversary" cake to celebrate that they've been friends for a full year now, and while Lena does include Violet and the boys among her close friends, it's pretty clear Webby is the one she's really doing all this for. Lena even sings a little song to Webby about how "If I didn't have you, it'd be worse for me" and "whoever thought that we would mesh" which leaves Webby crying tears of joy.
    • "The Phantom and The Sorceress!" has Webby giving the Phantom Blot And This Is for... with Lena being mentioned twice. Also Lena unlocks her Super Mode with happy memories, the majority of which involves her and Webby.
    • "How Santa Stole Christmas!" shows that Lena and Violet sleep in the same bed (understandable since the two are adoptive sisters), along with Webby giving them both a peck on the cheek, which causes Violet to smile.
    • In "The Last Adventure!", Webby's String Theory board has a heart sticker on Lena's picture.
    • Director Sam King mentioned on Twitter seeing Webby and Lena as baby gay.
  • Doofus and Louie have moments and are a popular ship though it's one-sided by Doofus No Yay
    • Doofus has a special fixation on Louie using a special, formal and even seductive voice with him
    • Doofus is the only one who calls Louie Llewellyn like a pet name
    • Louie make Doofus a special kind of angry and betrayed
    • In "Day of The Only Child" Louie goes to meet Doofus to make an alliance with another rich kid similar to how royalty would betrothe kids to combine wealth
      • Doofus reaches down his pants to give Louie a bracelet
      • Also, the bracelet turns out to be magical and lets Doofus control Louie and keep him kidnapped
    • In "Treasure of the Found Lamp" Louie is nervous to go to Doofus and freaked out when he comes extra close to him
    • In "Happy Birthday Doofus Drake" Louie is still freaked out due to past appearances, like a person afraid of a Stalker Witha Crush
      • Doofus says hello to Louie after his Birth of Venus scene
    • In "The Life and Crimes of Scrooge McDuck" Doofus is extremely obsessed with Louie
      • Similar to Glomgold and Scrooge who they are compared to
      • Doofus being without Glomgold's bumbling idiot flaws and Louie without Scrooge's anger issues make them even fiercer competitors
      • As seen with them being opposing lawyers this fuels the competitivs sexual tension even more
      • Also, unlike Scrooge and Glomgold who yell and argue they mess with each other using cunning and mind games which can seem flirtatious especially since they give each other a level of respect
      • Doofus licks Louie slowly
      • Doofus gives up when Louie apologizes genuinely being overjoyed by Louise's apology
  • BOYD and Louie get a lot of shippers due to Louie freeing BOYD
    • Plus, they both have the pain of dealing with Doofus who is BOYD'S brother. He's usually a plot point in their ships with BOYD and Doofus being brothers who both have feeling for Louie. Though, Louie is understandably creeped out by Doofus' behavior while he loves BOYD
    • They're also connected by Huey being BOYD'S best friend which is how he meets and gets a crush on Louie.
    • Or Gyro, BOYD'S dad, works for Louie's uncle's company
  • Storkules has a lot of this towards Donald. From seeing his friendship with him as his proudest achievement to sculpting a muscular statue of him wearing only a fig leaf. And in the Season Two finale, when Zeus forbids him and Selene from helping with the invasion, Storkules cries out, "What of the Earth? What of my Donald?!"
    • While Storkules approves of and even encourages Donald's relationship with Daisy, he refuses to give them privacy and instead views themselves as One True Threesome.
  • Donald gets a bit of this with Jose and Panchito in the series finale where Webby's family string board has a heart where Jose and Panchito are connected to Donald.
  • Della/Selene was already a decently popular pair due to them being close friends in the past. It received a boost in the last few episodes of season 1 where it's revealed that the Spear of Selene was a rocket Della designed and named after the goddess. The cliffhanger ending shows that Della is currently alive on the moon, which, prior to the Oxy-Chew reveal, was often reckoned to be due to Selene's influence.
  • Della also has her moments with Penumbra. Della insists that they have become Fire-Forged Friends and is overly friendly with Penumbra, even calling her "Penny". Penumbra, meanwhile, initially mistrusts Della and is annoyed by her friendliness, but gradually realizes that she actually likes her.
    • The fact that Penumbra says she has "no interest in dating an Earth male", which is confirmed by the creators to mean that she's lesbian, adds fuel to the Della/Penumbra ship.
    • On Webby's family string board, there is a heart where she is connected to Della.
    • Director Sam King, also shipped the two.
    • In the Valentine's Day episode of Chibi Tiny Tales, they're seen among the couples in the audience.
  • Launchpad and Drake Mallard in "The Duck Knight Returns", as they quickly bond over their deep admiration for Darkwing Duck and start playing action figures together. This is nothing new, as Launchpad and Drake Mallard were often shipped in the original cartoon, although now with less creepy power-structure in the way.
    • The fact that Gosalyn will also appear in the show made some of the Launchpad/Drake shippers hope that the two of them would adopt her together, resulting in Gosalyn having two daddies.
    • Upon the Darkwing crew officially being formed in "Let's Get Dangerous!", Launchpad insists on referring to himself, Darkwing, and Gosalyn as a family unit, and despite that taking the form of himself as Scrooge/Donald, Darkwing as the Launchpad, and Gosalyn as the Dewey, in practice it very much comes off as Drake and Launchpad being Gosalyn's dads. Diana Huh, a storyboard artist on the show, boarded their hand-holding scene and ships them, as she confirmed on her Twitter.
    • Director Sam King also refers to Drake and Launchpad as a couple.
    • By the same token, Launchpad is a huge fan of original Darkwing actor Jim Starling, and faints every time he sets eyes on him. Jim happily takes on Launchpad as his sidekick to take over the starring role in a new Darkwing movie, and even after becoming the evil Negaduck, he continues to hold his fan in high esteem, latching onto a delusion that Drake is a False Friend he needs to save Launchpad from. It quickly became common to portray Negaduck as a Yandere., though this can cross to No Yay when you consider the fact that Jim Starling is old enough to be Launchpad's dad.
  • Mark Beaks behaves in a rather stalker-y way towards Gizmoduck, not to mention cries with joy when Gizmoduck rescues him from an exploding helicopter in a bridal carry, and declares on his selfie that "He showed me a whole new world!" Overlaps with No Yay because they eventually become enemies and it's creepily one-sided.
  • Onlookers call it a staring contest, they call it a "vision-based battle of wills"; Scrooge and Flintheart spend literal hours staring into each other's eyes, with a never-departed focus on how much they hate each other.
