Tear Jerker / Power Rangers Turbo

• The titular ceremony from "Passing the Torch" is sad, with four veteran Rangers saying goodbye, and Adam in particular looking and sounding like he's going to cry.
• Stone's niece Jenny gets a surprisingly powerful speech near the end of her one episode, asking Kat if she knows what it feels like to have a mother who doesn't want her around, an uncle who wrongly thinks she's a thief, and a dream (to get into a ballet company) that just got crushed when she was inches away from achieving it.
• Much has been said about the ending to Power Rangers Turbo, the only ending to a Power Rangers series in which the rangers lose, at least, not since the ending of Mighty Morphin' season 3. Specifically, they lose both Megazords in vain and their weapons while fighting a very powerful monster, even as the weapons fired down the monster's throat manage to destroy him. Then, in a vain attempt to rescue Zordon, Dimitria (the Ranger's mentor for this season) and the Blue Senturion leave Earth behind. After that, Divatox attacks and destroys the Power Chamber, capturing the "super cars" in the process. The rangers and Alpha Six survive and are given a space shuttle to go after Zordon, but Justin stays behind on Earth to be with his father.
  • If you pay attention you can see many small things that will make you sigh wistfully as Justin leaves. Ashley places her free hand on the seat that was intended for Justin and the young ranger also leaves his communicator behind in NASADA's Mission Control, severing his ties to the group completely.^note He returns in one episode next season, but that doesn’t detract from the sadness
