Tear Jerker / Heated Storm Yields a Wild Horse's Heart

• At the end of chapter 15, when Akane loses her cool and lashes out at Shampoo for declaring Ukyo another "co-wife", Shampoo finally explodes and verbally lays into all of them, throwing it in their faces that she knows they don't like her or her involving them in an Exotic Extended Marriage, but she did it to try and do the honorable thing. As she points out, she wanted her own husband, and it would have been so easy to just treat Nabiki and Ukyo like enemies and violently chase them off, but she chose to make her own life difficult because she respects them and the suffering they've undergone. And yet they continue to treat her as a stranger and a madwoman. She punctuates her rant by smashing the table in a fit of rage, and then vanishes into the night, implicitly crying over the fact that they still don't like or trust her, despite her efforts to make friends with them and to make their new "relationship" work.
