  • In "Coup DeVille", Lil moves out of her and Phil's room into one of her own. Just the moment where Phil walks into the room to find her stuff gone and sadly looks at pictures of them together as kids, ending with a shot of them in the mud from Rugrats.
  • In "Susie Sings the Blues", Susie gets conned out of a thousand dollars by a woman who told her that she would make her a star. When she tells Alisa (her sister), the latter frets about it and Susie assures her that she'll pay her back. Alisa's response is pretty sobering, especially considering that it's Truth in Television.
Alisa: (understandably angry) The money!? Susie, a lot worse could have happened to you than losing a thousand dollars! You go around with a woman you don't even know, say yes to whatever she tells you to do...she could have taken it a lot farther than she did! THINK ABOUT IT!
  • Remember Tommy's flashback to how he nearly drowned while on a fishing trip with his grandpa? Now imagine what Lou must have been thinking during the whole thing...
  • In "Lucky 13", Angelica is excited to plan her 13th birthday party, and invites everyone. But then Savannah announces that she's holding a party on the same day, which causes a lot of people who already sent in their RSVP to Angelica to cancel, since Savannah is more popular. Angelica asks Savannah to reschedule her party, to which she says she'll see what she can do. Then when Angelica talks to her the next day, Savannah says her party's still gonna happen that day. The utterly crushed expression on Angelica's face before she runs out crying is just heartbreaking.
  • Tommy's fate in "All Broke Up". Rachel thinks he's been cheating and calls things off with him, the potential new girlfriend gets furious and thinks she's been set up, and of course most of Tommy's friends are furious that he lied to them. Thankfully, in spite of Tommy being nigh-inconsolable, Chuckie visits to try and help and stays there by the end of the episode.
  • Angelica losing Cynthia in "Saving Cynthia". She's utterly devastated at the loss of the doll she once referred to as her best friend, and remembers as someone she could tell everything to. When Charlotte tries to brush it off by pointing out Angelica's own insistence that she's grown up now, Angelica curls up on her bed and weakly, ineffectually tells herself that "I am..." She gets Cynthia back in the end, but still.
  • The feud between Kimi and Chuckie in "Petition This" culminating in the two revealing embarrassing secrets about each other in front of the whole school and tearfully screaming that they hate each other. And it was all Susie and Angelica's fault for pitting them against each other. Susie clearly feels guilty about what she's done and even though she tries to play it off, Angelica does too.
