Shout Out / Voltron Force

Here are the shout-outs found in Voltron Force.

• In Voltron Force, Larmina and Hunk's favorite band, Stereo-Lactic, is visually reminiscent of Daft Punk, with all the members wearing cyberpunk face-obscuring helmets.
• Keith is revealed to be half-Arusian in this continuity, which is reminiscent of the big reveal in Voltes V of the Gou brothers being half-Boazanian.
• One scene has Voltron averting a nasty fall by firing up rockets with all four limbs.
• When Larmina helps Voltron finish the Samurai Robeast in "Brains" she declares it a "Flawless Victory."
• Pidge's Voltron Force incarnation looks like Ben Tennyson from Ben 10, complete with an Omnitrix.
• This version of Voltron has different abilities depending on which of the five lions form the head. This is reminiscent of the gimmick of Getter Robo.
  • The concept of all of the robot lions being able to form the head also serves as an homage to Albegas. Which is fitting since said series was initially planed for the third season of the original Voltron series.
• The Voltron Force having their own weapons for melee combat that match the abilities of their respective robot lions rather than just focusing on piloting their giant robot is quite like what happens in Super Sentai or Power Rangers.
  • The pilots having color-coordinated civilian clothes with their pilot suits and respective color of lion is also Sentai-like or PR-like, but it's more a shout-out to them following the lead of Voltron: The Third Dimension.
