  • Michel Blanc was the only Splendid member to not have a role in this movie. As a result, in his 1994 movie Grosse fatigue ("Heavy tiredness"), where Blanc appear As Himself, there is a scene where a bystander tell him how much he liked his performance in Santa Claus is a stinker. Blanc yells with exasperation: "I was not in Santa Claus!". Presumably, it happened to him in Real Life more than once. note 
  • In the satirical cartoon 50 nuances de grecs ("50 shades of greeks") that spoof Classical Mythology, Zeus notices that mortal demonstrators are busy trashing mount Olympus, and Zeus exclaims: "What is that stuff? Is it?..." and a journalist precise : "...moussaka". note 
  • In the French version of Tumblr, one of the slogans destined to promote categories is "C'est très fin, ça se mange sans faim" ("It's very fine, it can be eaten without hunger") , the very lenient comment of Thérèse about Mr. Preskovic 's doubitchous that are actually inedible. That's a pun based on "fin" and "faim" that have the same pronunciation.
