  • From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Potato Head appeared in commercials for Burger King, where he promoted the titular restaurants' fries.
  • Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head appear in commercials for Lay's Potato Chips, where they eat the titular product, fully aware they're made from potatoes.
  • British snack food company Walkers did stop-motion animated commercials for their Potato Heads crisps featuring a Mr. Potato Head version of Gary Lineker as their spokesman.

  • Mr. Potato Head is prominently featured in the Toy Story movies as one of Andy's toys.

Live-Action Films

  • Shane from Backstreet Dreams is shown playing with a Mr. Potato Head at one point.
  • In Pee-wee's Big Adventure, one of Pee-Wee's toys is a Mr. Potato Head doll.
  • In WarGames, when Jim gets upset at Malvin (for saying back-door entries into a program are secrets), he calls him "Mr. Potato Head."

  • Full House:
    • In "Trouble in Twin Town", Becky's rich cousin Dick and his family come to visit the Tanner family. When Dick's twin daughters Debbie and Darla walk into Michelle's bedroom, they ask her if she has a TV, VCR, or a laserdisc player. Michelle tells them that she has a Mr. Potato Head. Debbie and Darla find this boring.
    • In "Joey's Funny Valentine", Uncle Jesse gives his hair a hot oil treatment which requires him to wear tinfoil on his head, and when Joey sees him wearing it, he calls him "Mr. Baked Potato Head".
  • In The Good Doctor episode "Intangibles," Kalu gives a Mr. Potato Head to a boy with a congenital heart defect. Later, the toy inspires an epiphany in Shaun.

Video Games

  • In Monopoly 64, Mr. Potato Head is a secret playable character. To play as him, select the Money Bag token and name it "Potato".note

  • You Know What's Bullshit?: In the "Temperature" episode, an image of a Mr. Potato Head toy is shown when the Bullshit Man mentions that potatoes are assholes to cook in the microwave because of how unpredictable they are.

Western Animation

  • Bump in the Night: The episode "Loss of Face" has Mr. Bumpy try to help his friend Squishington after he's lost his face using his SeÅ„or Yam Noggin kit.
  • Darkwing Duck: Quackerjack's "Mr. Banana Brain" doll is a spoof of Mr. Potato Head.
  • Family Guy: In "The King Is Dead", Peter tries to pitch a toy called Mr. Zucchini Head to the suits at Happy-Go-Lucky Toys. The toy's hat, shoes and ability to "dance" make it look like a vibrating sex toy, and it's soundly rejected before Mr. Weed takes it for himself.
  • Rugrats (1991): In several episodes Chuckie is revealed to own a Mr. Banana Head doll.
  • Rocko's Modern Life: In "Junk Junkies", after selling his beloved childhood pogo stick to earn the money he needs to pay the pizza bill, Rocko meets Mr. Onion Head, his favorite childhood toy, who reminds him of all the good times he had with his pogo stick to convince him to buy it back. When Heffer finds Mr. Onion Head, he eats him.
