It's Thanksgiving and the heroes celebrate with friends and family.

Tropes in this episode:

  • Actor Allusion: Henchy, voiced by Steve Blum, utters "Karabast!", a curse word exclaimed by Zeb, another character voiced by Steve Blum from another show co-written by Greg Weisman, Star Wars Rebels. According to Weisman, this is also an allusion to Weisman repeatedly having Blum use the same voice for tough guys with gruff English accents in his shows (before Henchy and Zeb, Blum also used this particular voice for Raythor and Blackie Gaxton).
  • Character Check: Even though The Scarab was freed from The Reach's influence, it's still keen on resolving problems through blasting things.
  • Groin Attack: Perdita kicks Psimon in the groin, dispelling his illusions.
  • Internal Reveal:
    • Paula learns her daughter has rejoined the team, which she does not approve of.
    • Violet tells Dr. Jace about Gabrielle letting the assassins into the Markovian palace.
  • Running Gag: Virgil repeatedly states that he needs to find a girlfriend, since he's Alone Among the Couples, describing himself as a seventh wheel in the beginning of the episode among "Gardita", Bart and Eduardo, and Jaime and Traci.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: Gar is clearly frustrated on how The Team's covert and secretive status is keeping them from inspiring people, including young metas, and it only gets worse when the "Lex Luthors" of the world turning public opinion against the heroes. The episode ends with Beast Boy, Blue Beetle and Kid Flash deciding to make a public statement regarding the attack on the fair, hoping to send a message.
  • Shipper on Deck: Paula suggests that Artemis and Will get together. Leans into Shipper with an Agenda, as while Paula does believe they have an interest in each other, her primary motive seems to be giving Artemis a reason to permanently retire from superheroing and giving her grandchild a mother.
  • We Need a Distraction: Psimon and Devastation pose as Count Vertigo and "Henchy" to kidnap Perdita, making the heroes think Vertigo is after the crown again. Meanwhile, the rest of Onslaught uses the distraction to kidnap the metas that were taken from the trafficking ring. Fortunately, the heroes figure this out before they can make good on the latter.
