Airdate: December 4, 2023

"The Treeborhood Parranda": The Treeborhood is holding its first parranda. The Flapping Feathers music group's tour bus gets a flat tire, so Sammy and Louisa decide to make their own instruments for the parranda.

"The Treeborhood Parranda" contains the following tropes:

  • A Day in the Limelight: Sammy and Louisa are the main characters of the episode, meaning that all of the wombats take a backseat.
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: Mr. E says "Did you not know?" which is usually Louisa's catchphrase.
  • Everything Is an Instrument: Sammy and Louisa make their own instruments for the parranda. They make bongos from bowls, a güiro from a squash, and use tap-dancing shoes for castanets.
  • Fanboy: Mr. E is revealed to be a huge fan of the Flapping Feathers, and rattles off facts about them in rapid succession. Sammy and Louisa are also fans, for that matter.
  • Gratuitous Spanish: Parranda is a Puerto Rican tradition, and the Flapping Feathers are implied to be Puerto Rican, so their song is in Spanish.
    De casa, en casa
    A comer y a bailar
    De casa, en casa
    Con amigos a gozar
    De casa, en casa
    Vamos a parrandiar
  • Insert Song: The Flapping Feathers' song.
  • Meaningful Name: One of the Flapping Feathers is named Luna. Her favorite day of the week is Monday, which is 'Lunes' in Spanish.
  • One-Steve Limit: Quique's real name is Enrique, but this is not mentioned on the show. However, this episode introduces the Flapping Feathers, one of whom is named Enrique.
  • Plot-Driven Breakdown: The Flapping Feathers' tour bus gets a flat tire on the way to the Treeborhood.
  • Stock Foreign Name: Enrique and Jose are both stereotypical Puerto Rican names.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Mr. E says that Jose's (one of the Flapping Feathers) favorite food is rice and beans.
  • Two Guys and a Girl: The Flapping Feathers are two guys (Jose and Enrique), and one girl (Luna).

"Happy New Acorn Year!": The wombats try to stay up late to watch the New Year’s Eve Acorn drop.

"Happy New Acorn Year!" contains the following tropes:

  • Call-Back: The Treeborhood residents gather to share their favorite things that they did in the year. Some of them are references to "3, 2, 1, Lift Off" and "The Mighty Zeke."
  • Counting Sheep: While napping, Louisa counts Zeke and Snout for...some reason. Everyone else is very irritated.
  • Don't Wake the Sleeper: One of the ways that the wombats try to stay awake is by playing loud music. However, Felicia Fishman gets upset with them because they could have woken up the fish babies, who cannot stay up.
  • Go-to-Sleep Ending: The episode ends with the wombats finally going to sleep.
  • I've Heard of That — What Is It?: Zeke thinks that it stinks that the wombats can't stay up late to see the New Year’s Eve Acorn drop, then asks what New Year's Eve is and what an acorn drop is.
  • New Year Has Come: This episode revolves around New Years Eve, and this year, the wombats are allowed to stay up to watch the ball drop.
  • Shout-Out: The acorn drop is a parody of the ball drop in Times Square.
  • Slumber Party: The crab kids, Sammy, JunJun, and Louisa have a "napathon" together so they can stay up late later on.
  • Staring Contest: Malik, Zadie, and Zeke try to stay awake by having a staring contest. Eventually, they all lose.
