- Actor Allusion: Lou Ferrigno guest stars as the husband of the woman holding the yard sale where Grizz got his Brand X Hulk hands.
- Big "NO!": Panda freaks out when the phone he found in the "free stuff" box goes dead right as he's about to respond to a mystery text offering him a date.
- Clingy Costume: Grizz puts on Smash Hands and uses them to punch stuff, but when he tries to take them off, he can't. He goes around asking for help, but everyone acts as if he were some type of monster because he keeps breaking stuff.
- Didn't Think This Through: Panda accepts a date from someone on a phone he just got, oblivious to the idea that they'd expect someone else like the person the phone originally belonged to. He almost gets beaten up for his trouble.

Paul: Oh, I got a message for ya... - Like Father, Like Son: Paul and Annie's newborn baby, the one person not afraid of Grizz's Smash Hands, has a good enough grip that Grizz is able to pull his hands out after spending much of the episode having his hands trapped in them.Grizz: Strong baby....

- Not Helping Your Case: After scaring two people with his Smash Hands, Grizzly protests "I'm not trying to rob you! I'm a nice guy!" Then he accidentally breaks a parking meter.
- Not What It Looks Like: Panda thinks Annie is inviting him on a date, only to realize too late he accidentally swiped her husband's phone.
- Panicky Expectant Father: Annie's husband freaks out when she goes into labor, and he ends up fainting after trying to calm down. The bears drag him along to the hospital.
