Finally reunited, the Brotherhood of Tofu is returning to the Sadida Kingdom. Hungry and tired, they stop for a break and some roast pork in an idyllic valley... but things take a turn for the worst when they find out that the area hosts the gate to the dungeon of the infamous Dragon-Pig. In order to save Ruel, Sadlygrove will have to confront the legendary beast.

Tropes:

  • Acrofatic: The Dragon-Pig is very fat and has disproportionately small legs, but he's fast and nimble enough to give Sadlygrove the fight of his life.
  • Attack Its Weak Point: When she sees that Dally is at a disadvantage, Eva interferes by biting the Dragon-Pig's tail, causing him to squeal in pain. This makes Sadlygrove realizes that the tail is the weakness and proceeds to exploit it.
  • Bad Moon Rising: Parodied, the full moon near the Dragon-Pig's dungeon has a pig-shaped crater in it.
  • Continuity Nod:
    • In the French version, the songs Ruel sings as he cooks the pig uses the same rythm as the one he sung about the boat in season 1, after the Gobbowl Inferno arc.
    • Again, Dally is wary of "clicks" when exploring dungeons.
  • Distressed Dude: Ruel is captured by the Dragon-Pig as a punishment for eating the piglet, and must be rescued. With the added bonus of facing a legendary boss.
  • Dungeon Crawling: Dally's specialty, which comes in handy in this episode as he ventures in the dungeon to reach the Dragon-Pig and save Ruel and his friends.
  • Fartillery: The transforming gas is shot by traps shaped like pigs' butts and sounding exactly like farts, adding insult to injury.
  • Forced Transformation: The first trap of the Dragon-Pig's dungeon consist in a corridor with holes releasing clouds of gas which turns people into small piglets. It happens to Yugo, Amalia and Eva, and the Fridge Horror is lampshaded by the credits.invoked
  • Full-Boar Action: The Dragon-Pig is the immortal son of a sow and a Dragon, resembling a towering, humanoid pig with humongous tusks and an incredible strength.
  • Genre Savvy: For once, Sadlygrove's knowledge is extremely useful, as he can safely navigate the Dungeon.
  • Gilligan Cut: After pointing out that they can have berries for dinner, Amalia notices the small piglet wandering out of the bushes and gushes at how cute and adorable he looks. After showing the three male members salivating at the sight and the piglet giving a cute look, the scene abruptly cuts to the dead pig roasting on a stick, while Ruel sings a happy song about it.
  • Graceful Loser: After the fights ends in a draw, both the Dragon-Pig and Dally have an hearty laugh together, having enjoyed the battle.
  • Hurricane of Puns: Especially in the original dub, which features lots and lots of pun on pork products and pigs. Some of them are plain untranslatable.
  • Ignored Expert: When the group enter the dungeon, Sadlygrove's advice on adventuring and crawling are ignored: this leads to everyone else being turned into a pig.
  • I Warned You: Invoked by Sadlygrove when his companions, after ignoring his advice, head in the corridor and are transformed into pigs by the gas trap.
Sadlygrove: I would hate to play the "I warned you" card... [deep breath] BUT I WARNED YOU!!!
  • Let's Fight Like Gentlemen: When he reaches the final room, Sadlygrove challenges the Dragon-Pig to a one-on-one fisticuff match: if he wins the Pig releases Ruel and turns his friends to normal, if he loses the Pig can eat Ruel.
  • Malaproper: In the first part of the episode, Dally calls himself "Althetic". Evangelyne corrects him, spelling included.
  • Metronomic Man Mashing: This happens to Sadlygrove during his fight against the Dragon-Pig. It would have gone for even longer if Evangelyne hasn't courageously bitten the Dragon-Pig's tail, distracting the monster.
  • Mini-Boss: Invoked; one room in the dungeon contains a massive pig-like mecha that comes to life, forcing Dally to destroy it offscreen.
  • Morphic Resonance: Even when transformed into piglets, Yugo, Amalia and Eva retains some distinctive traits. Amalia for example is darker and has a tuff of green hair, Evangelyne keeps her freckles, and all three have recognizable eyes.
  • Not So Above It All: After claiming in tears that killing the pig was a barbaric and cruel act, Amalia sniffs the scent of the cooked meat... and decides to have "just one bite".
  • Oh, Crap!: Piglet Amalia when she accidentally steps on a trapped tile while she's distracted by her reflection.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: The piglet, as Amalia notices. It doesn't save him from becoming dinner.
  • Shrouded in Myth: The Dragon-Pig is a legendary boss from the Dofus era, rumored to be immortal, extremely powerful and that from his meat one can obtain the "Ultimate Ham".
  • Stewed Alive: As a punishment for killing and eating the piglet, the Dragon-Pig kidnaps Ruel and puts him in a huge cauldron of boiling water and vegetables, planning to cook and eat him.
  • Wacky Wayside Tribe: The encounter with the Dragon-Pig, since it doesn't have a long-term influence on the plot and only serves as an adventure while the group's on the way to the Sadida Kingdom.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Eva chastises the heroes for being so happy and cheerful after pretty much traumatizing Amalia by killing the piglet.
  • Worthy Opponent: In the end, the Dragon-Pig seems to consider Dally one, and agrees to turn his friends to normal and return Ruel.
