During the gang's Halloween party, Unikitty discovers Rick isn't scared of anything!. To get him excited, the gang tells a scary story, hoping to frighten Rick just once.

Tropes:

  • Apocalyptic Log: In her story, Mad Scientist Dr. Fox is recording her work on a candy growth serum and it quickly turns into an account of an experiment gone horribly wrong.
  • Bait-and-Switch: In Dr. Fox’s story, the camera she’s recording herself on shakes as if she’s gotten attacked. It turns out however, that Dr. Fox had just dropped it.
  • Bring My Brown Pants: When Unikitty asks if her story was scary, Puppycorn says that he peed a little.
  • Comedic Underwear Exposure: While running from Hawkodile, Chainsaw Guy ends up Losing a Shoe in the Struggle, gets his overalls snagged on a tree branch, and is stripped down to his underwear by the time he makes it to the road to flag down help.
  • Eaten Alive: Happens to Dr. Fox’s character at the end of her story.
  • Faux Horrific: Unikitty finally finds something that scares Richard: a permanent stain.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Dr. Fox’s experiment to make candy grow works too well, and the pile of candy turns into a giant monster.
Dr. Fox: The experiment worked too well!
  • Halloween Episode: Each member of the group tries to scare Rick with a spooky story in order to help him experience the joy of Halloween.
  • Harassing Phone Call: Unikitty’s story ends with her Casey Becker Expy answering a creepy phone call, only to find out The Calls Are Coming from Inside the House.
Unikitty: ...because the phone was the caller!
  • Haunted Castle: Unikitty’s final story takes place in one with a butler as the main character.
  • Horrifying the Horror: Hawkodile’s story is about a camp counselor, played by himself, that hunts down a Hockey Mask and Chainsaw killer and ends up being scarier than the villain itself. He even menacingly sings a creepy Ironic Nursery Tune version of “Camptown Races” while stalking Chainsaw Guy.
  • I Resemble That Remark!: Richard tells Puppycorn that he’s scared of everything and right after he tries to deny it, Puppycorn gets scared by his own reflection.
  • Masked Luchador: Hawkodile’s Halloween costume.
  • Nap-Inducing Speak: Unikitty’s “Permanent Panic” story puts the rest of the group to sleep.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The episode starts with a reference to Scream in which Unikitty plays Casey Becker, complete with Drew Barrymore’s iconic blonde bob and sweater.
    • In Hawkodile's story, the Dread Lake Summer Camp parodies Camp Crystal Lake from Friday the 13th, and Chainsaw Guy is an Expy of Jason Voorhees.
    • One of the many villains in Puppycorn’s story is a ghost hand coming out of the TV like in Poltergeist.
  • Sinister Whistling: Chainsaw Guy realizes it’s Hawkodile in the car he stopped to try to get help from when the figure inside starts whistling the same song Hawkodile had been singing during the chase.
  • Stripped to the Bone: Richard is so horrified by the permanent stain appearing in real life, that his skin flies off and then his skeleton, until only his brain (or a Lego brick’s equivalent of one) is left.
  • Vignette Episode: This episode involves each of the characters telling a story to try to scare Richard.
