Episode Tropes

  • Asshole Victim: Celebro being captured and becoming a guinea pig for Yuka and Kaburagi's dissection experiment will most likely go down as one of, if not, the most humiliating Ultraman villain defeats in history, next to Commander Black being overwhelmed by a group of children back in Leo's finale.
  • Back for the Finale: Sevenger is piloted by Bako to give Haruki and Juggler a hand to rescue Yoko. And Kaburagi is joined with Yoko as they capture Celebro.
  • Back to Base Form: Ultraman Z ends up forced to fight Destrudos with just his base form after Beliarok is destroyed by the D4 Ray, however thanks to his growth as a hero he's able to show his true power by winning the fight despite being severely injured and having his Color Timer blinking.
  • Beyond the Impossible: Z besting Destrudos just with his Original form with a supercharged Zestium Beam.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Yoko is rescued, Destrudos is destroyed, STORAGE is reinstated back as the defense organization of Earth, Haruki and Yoko are implied to be on the way to becoming an item and Celebro is captured and will be Killed Offscreen via dissection, courtesy of both Yuka and Kaburagi. But Juggler leaves his team behind for unknown reasons and Haruki leaves Earth to protect the Universe and beyond, with him reassuring his teammates that he'll see them again.
  • Book Ends:
    • Yoko stumbles at Ultraman's medal in the aftermath of Genegarg's destruction back in the first episode. Here, she finds Belial's medal just as she is freed from Celebro's influence.
    • Z's first battle against a kaiju possessed by Celebro (Genegarg) ends with a Beam-O-War and won using Alpha Edge. His final battle ends with another beam-o-war against another kaiju possessed by the space parasite (Destrudos), this time in his base form.
    • The final battle against Destrudos has Beliarok apparently destroyed after impaling the monster's Majaba chest, only to return at the episode's final scene, revealing that the weapon is immortal the whole time.
  • Broke Your Arm Punching Out Cthulhu: Z trying to make an exit after Destrudos's destruction ends with him reaching his absolute limit midflight, and plummets like a rock back to Earth, with Haruki in the resulting crater with minor injuries due to the fact he and Z took too much punishment from the fight.
  • But Now I Must Go: After Celebro's defeat, Juggler parted ways with the crew as he heads to parts unknown. While Haruki leaves the team to protect the universe, but promises to return one day.
  • Call-Back: Juggler's parting words to Yuka is the same in his series' finale: "Bye."
  • Crazy-Prepared: Both Juggler and Inaba fully display being excessively prepared for the final battle:
    • While having rallied all of STORAGE's remnants in the previous episode to reclaim the HQ already qualifies, Juggler knew very well that STORAGE will be the last obstacle in Celebro's path of destruction by going all out using King Joe SC and Windam as last resort.
Hebikura: It's playing a game. I figured if we set up the board, it would come to us.
    • Bako bringing in Sevenger, a spare battery for Windom, and a drill arm for good measure.
  • 11th-Hour Ranger: Bako in Sevenger managed to buy Haruki and Hebikura enough time to regroup and counterattack.
  • Fate Worse than Death: Getting subjected for a dissection experiment is not going to be pleasant for Celebro.
  • The Fellowship Has Ended: STORAGE is once again defending Japan, but both Haruki and Juggler leave; the former to keep protecting people and innocents beyond Earth alongside Z and the latter for unknown reasons.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: As his first encounter with Juggler ended up getting a target painted on his back, Celebro doesn't get away scot free and Juggler makes sure of it, leaving Yuka and Kaburagi to decide the space parasite's fate by dissecting him.
  • Lost in Translation: In the scene of Haruki's final words with STORAGE members, he swears to return to Earth during Bon festivals and New Years Day. The "Bon Festival" word was replaced with "summer" in general in the subtitle.
  • Manly Tears: Haruki, of all people, sheds one not only after winning his arm wrestling against Yoko, he soon finds out that he has to marry her in the future. Even Yoko herself calls him out for it.
  • Meaningful Name: The episode title in Japanese, "遥かに輝く戦士たち/Haruka ni Kagayaku Senshi-tachi", has the Kanji that make up Haruki's first name (遥輝).
  • Mythology Gag:
    • The episode's title is named after two of Ultraman Zero's strongest forms: Shining Zero and Zero Beyond.
    • Haruki and Z leaving the Earth to protect the universe is analogous to Asuka's fate at the end of his home series after defeating the Spheres. Unlike Asuka though, Haruki made his choice in doing so.
  • This Is a Drill: Sevenger's Super Rigid Core Drill Fist.
  • Walking the Earth: Or in this case, the universe for Haruki and Z once their duty is done. The same can be said for Juggler.
