Chapters 1-2
Short Summary
To start off the series, we are introduced to the protagonist, Keima Katsuragi, who accepts a contract from New Hell that suddenly appears before him on his PFP. In return, he ends up forcibly paired up with Elsea de Lute Irma, a member of New Hell's Runaway Spirit Squad. Alongside Keima, the two are tasked to hunt down and capture evil spirits that plague the hearts of girls in the real world.
Here, we witness Keima's first attempt to conquer an evil spirit in Ayumi Takahara; a classmate of Keima participating in the track-and-field club that is being peer pressured by her upper classmates to not run in the next race.
