Foreshadowing: Leighton describing herself as the type of girls she's attracted to. By the end of the episode, Leighton runs into a Tatum, a girl resembling her and instantly becomes attracted to her.
Gilligan Cut: Kimberly assuring Leighton that she doesn't expect her to inject her every night go partying. Cut to Leighton continually injecting her.
Good-Times Montage: Leighton helping Kimberly out with her hormone injections while attending each of Theta's themed wild parties.
Green-Eyed Epiphany: Bela feels immediately threatened by Dana, a girl Eric is seeing, which then causes her to realize that she likes him.
Hypocrite: Bela says when she sees other people, it's feminist and empowering, but Eric doing so is bad male behavior, despite them having a friends-with-benefits relationship. This happens when she meets Dana, Eric's date and Bela's replacement from The Catullan.
Inexplicably Identical Individuals: The episode ends with the introduction of Tatum, who nearly runs Leighton over with her car and happens to look, dress and talk like she does, which surprises her.
Relationship Upgrade: It's clear that Bela sees Eric more than just a fuckbuddy. Fortunately for her, Eric feels the same way about her and officially become a couple.
You're Not My Type: Already knowing she's a lesbian, Kimberly, Whitney and Bela jokingly debate whom of the three Leighton finds is the most attractive to her. Unfortunately, Leighton answers that none of them are her type.
