Slimer is on his way to the movies, when he is scared by an "octopus", who turns out to actually be guy he knows in a costume, named Buzz. Slimer pranks Buzz back with the octopus mask, which he finds funny, so he offers to take Slimer in for a screening if he helps clean the theatre.
Slimer goes to sweep the floor, but is caught in a projector and ends up with an image of him on a screen. Then, Professor Dweeb and Elizabeth show up to watch the same movie (The Haunted Spaceship) that Slimer is planning on watching.
Slimer, Dweeb, and Elizabeth enter into the theatre to watch the movie, but Slimer gets stuck on gum and then accidentally spills popcorn on Dweeb and Elizabeth. Later, Slimer goes to use the bathroom and Dweeb finds him there. He chases him, but Slimer escapes, yet fuses into the movie.
He runs from the octopus, then Dweeb and Elizabeth also enter the movie. They're chased by the octopus, then run into Slimer and Dweeb tries to catch him with a grabbing machine. However, he catches the octopus instead and he drops them into some water.
As the movie ends, Slimer flies out, then Buzz offers to show Slimer the movie again tomorrow, but Slimer refuses.
