- Distinction Without a Difference:Critic: Now, I am not one to fall victim to peer pressure. I just do what everybody tells me in the hopes of feeling less insecure.
- Fee Fi Faux Pas: It didn't help that he made a joke about Mako sounding like a heavy smoker, not knowing he was actually dying of throat cancer when he played the role.
- Innocently Insensitive: At the time, he had no idea who Mako was and he ended up insulting the way he sounded as Splinter. He later apologizes for his insensitivity, especially when the man passed away from esophageal cancer.
- Memory-Wiping Crew: The Critic inflicts the neuralizer on the audience after he accidentally says his sex life is bad. He then proclaims he's the greatest lover ever.
- Pandering to the Base: Invoked: Though this movie was too new for his cut-off date, the Critic decided to review this because a number of people requested it. It didn't hurt that he's a Turtles fan, though.
- Self-Deprecation: About the movie:Critic: It's vague, it's confusing, and it's just a mess. Kinda like my sex life.
