Kermit plays matchmaker for Miss Piggy and Josh Groban. Meanwhile, Fozzie is invited to a party at Jay Leno's house.
This episode contains examples of:
- Ambiguously Bi: Pepe, as apparently Josh Groban gives him "the feels".Pepe: What? He's a handsome man, and gender is fluid.
- Batman Gambit: Kermit pulls this off to get rid of Josh Groban. Not to give anything away, but it involves appealing to Piggy's ego.
- Berserk Button: Piggy has a few - don't replace her thick Sharpies with fine-tipped Sharpies, don't bring a backscratcher in to work (if you're itchy, take care of it at home), and don't try to calm her down with cake. Ah yes, and do not offer her a ballpoint. Bunsen learns that the hard way.
- Brick Joke: A twofer - Kermit has a throwaway line about being in an elevator with Lea Thompson, and before that Gonzo brings up his mother, who's apparently gone missing while on vacation. During the credits, Kermit actually DOES run into Lea Thompson in an elevator... and his chances with her are ruined when Gonzo runs into the elevator to tell Kermit that they found his mother.
- Hypocritical Humor: Jay Leno is enraged when he finds out that Fozzie stole his candy dish... specifically, the very same candy dish that he in turn stole from George Carlin.
- Interspecies Romance: Piggy hooks up with Josh Groban, a human being.
- Noodle Incident: How exactly does Kermit know that Gonzo's mother is a terrible goat rider?
- Troll: Laurence Fishburne, of all people. He shows up just to tell Kermit how much his show sucks.
- We Want Our Jerk Back!: Sort of. When Kermit sets Piggy up with Josh Groban, Piggy began to mellow out considerably and began acting nice to everyone. Everyone likes the new gentle Piggy, but Groban begins interfering with the show and it sucks as a result, thus Kermit attempts to get the old Piggy back.
