Go To

Kick the Bucket List: Lincoln and Clyde's plans to spend the spring holiday are turned upside-down when they have only one day to complete all the activities on their activities list.

Party Down: Lori manages to successfully throw a party, but all of her invited guests are unable to come due to their plans.

"Kick the Bucket List"

  • Aesop Amnesia: Downplayed, but this is the second time a schedule ruined Lincoln and Clyde's fun.
  • Aside Glance: Luna does this when she doesn't see Clyde after Lincoln says that he and Clyde are having a jam session in the garage.
  • Big Ball of Violence:
    • Clyde gets in one with Lana and Lola when he accidentally destroys their sandcastle.
    • Lincoln gets in one with a bird named Petey at the end of the episode.
  • Big "NO!": Lincoln does this when Clyde reveals that his parents are taking him on a surprise 8-day trip to Hawaii.
  • Big "YES!": Lincoln and Clyde do this shortly after they realizes that they've still got one day to complete their bucket list. They do it again during their journey to get home before the streetlights comes on.
  • Comforting Comforter: As Lincoln sleeps outside while trying to condense his bucket list, his mom comes out to put a blanket over him.
  • Companion Cube: When Lincoln and Clyde decide to split up to complete their bucket list, Clyde has a boulder, a piece of driftwood, and a pizza box play Lincoln.
  • Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: Lincoln and Clyde do this on their way home when they realize that they didn't actually have any fun while completing the bucket list.
  • Feathered Fiend: Petey attacks Lincoln and Clyde.
  • Gasshole: After tasting his sub, Lynn burps hard enough to make Lincoln fall over.
  • Green Around the Gills: Clyde and Lincoln when they get nauseous from watching 42 episodes of ARGGH! at high speed.
  • Hurricane of Puns: Luan has a field day when Lincoln and Clyde turn orange from swimming in gelatin.
  • One-Man Band: Lincoln tries to have a jam session as one of these. Luna offers to join in, but awkwardly walks away when Lincoln tells her this is just between him and Clyde and the latter's nowhere in sight.
  • Potty Emergency: Leni has one in the park, and asks Rock Lincoln if he can look after Lola and Lana while she goes to the bathroom.
  • Race Against the Clock: As noted above, Lincoln and Clyde have a wild adventure during their effort to make it home before the streetlights come on.
  • Right on Queue: The Fly Me to the Moo ride at Dairyland has a waiting line of three days.
  • Seesaw Catapult: Happens when Clyde plays on the seesaw with Rock Lincoln. He gets launched into the air and lands on Lola and Lana's sandcastle, destroying it and prompting them to beat him up.
  • The Voiceless: Lisa, Lucy, and Lori don't speak nor are they involved with the plot.
  • Vomit Discretion Shot: Lincoln and Clyde fast forward through 42 episodes of ARGGH!, and they quicky get nauseous and throw up after watching the footage go by really fast.

"Party Down"

  • Actually Pretty Funny: The guests at Lori’s party actually laugh at Luan's jokes.
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: Lori initially only lets Leni (as the bouncer), Luna, and reluctantly Luan into her party only to kick the latter two and Lincoln out.
  • The B Grade: Joey only showed up at Lori's party to do his homework. Later on, when Lucy predicts that he will get a "B-", he wonders why he even bothers studying at parties.
  • Be Yourself: Lori learns that despite being 17, she doesn’t have to pretend to be a sophisticated adult just because a magazine tells her to.
  • Comedic Underwear Exposure: Lincoln intentionally does this as part of a magic trick where he seemingly rips his pants off without breaking them.
  • Continuity Nod:
  • Dumbass Has a Point: Bobby points out that Lori following a magazine's advice is what made the party a flop to begin with.
  • Exact Words: Lincoln's reason for disguising himself as a Russian citizen to get in Lori's party. After all, she doesn't want Lincoln Loud at her party, but she didn't say anything about Lincolnovich Loudinski.
  • For Want Of A Nail: The second time Leni decides to post a picture, Lori isn't around to stop her. This is what causes Lori's friends to come back.
  • G-Rated Drug: Lisa progressively gets more and more addicted to chocolate during the events of the episode.
  • I Have to Go Iron My Dog: Becky gets out of Lori's party by claiming that her mom stubbed her toe. The rest of the guests follow her claiming that she's their ride. When they come back, now bearing pizzas as an apology, she claims her mom got better, while the others claim that she's still their ride.
  • Lampshade Wearing: Invoked; Mr. Loud wants Lori's party to have one of them and puts one on himself.
  • Noodle Incident: Lisa was originally trying to create a nuclear reactor, but she accidentally threw chocolate inside and it somehow turned into a chocolate fountain instead.
  • Oh Wait, This Is My Grocery List: While Leni bounces for Lori's party, "Lincolnovich" points out that her "guest list" is actually a grocery list. Leni being Leni, she immediately laments that feta cheese isn’t coming.
  • Open-Minded Parent: Mr. and Mrs. Loud aren’t mad at all that Lori decided to have a Wild Teen Party after she promised to keep things sophisticated, since these are the kind of parties that a 17-year-old is supposed to give. They even happily participate in said party.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Lincoln's disguise as a Russian exchange student, complete with mustache and star-emblazoned hat. Leni is obviously fooled by his disguise, but Lori easily sees through it.
  • Pet the Dog: After seeing how Lori's party bombed, Lincoln invites her to his party. The other Loud kids are ecstatic that she showed up. Later, when Lori's friends return and have fun at the other party, Lincoln has Lori take credit for it.
  • Recycled Script: Downplayed. This is similar to "SpongeBob's House Party" where a character tries to host a sophisticated party only for the guests to be extremely bored.
  • Schedule Fanatic: Lori tries hosting a sophisticated party based on her teen magazine.
  • Serendipitous Symphony: Luna tries to make music out of some stuff in the basement before Lori tells her to knock it off.
  • Slobs Versus Snobs: Lori's initial party tries so hard to be "sophisticated" that any attempts to liven it up are shut down. It ends up killing the party in the process.
  • Start My Own: After the rest of the Loud kids are kicked out of Lori's party, they decide to have their own.
  • What the Hell Is That Accent?: As Lincolnovich Loudinski, Lincoln puts on what can vaguely be called a Russian accent.
  • Wild Teen Party: Lori wants to avoid one of these by hosting a "sophisticated" party instead. In the end, she gives in to her desire to just have fun and it still becomes this.note
