Martha continues to be on the run, with Philip and the FBI both trying to find her. Philip stays with Joan at the message center, while Elizabeth (disguised as "Jennifer") goes out looking for her, and Gabriel waits at the safe house. The FBI hears Martha calling her parents, telling them not to worry about any news she might hear, and track her to the park. However, "Jennifer" gets there first (thanks to a call Martha makes to Philip) and gets her away. Back at the Rezidentura, Arkady, Oleg and Tatiana work out a plan to exfiltrate Martha, and Philip spends the night with Martha to get her to go to the Soviet Union, but he makes it clear he won't be coming along, and he also makes it clear to Elizabeth he loves her.
This episode contains examples of:
- Call-Back: Along with exfiltrating Martha, Tatiana arranges for the sample containing the Glanders bacteria to be taken on the same plane, which becomes important later.
- Despair Event Horizon: Martha is so traumatized by what she's been through, when she gets to a bridge, she briefly considers jumping.
- Enhanced Punch: When Martha won't go with "Jennifer" because she doesn't trust her, "Jennifer" gets Martha to stop panicking by punching her in the stomach.
- I Want My Mommy!: Martha calls her parents because she's so stressed out.
- Kids Raiding the Wine Cabinet: Or refrigerator in this case - Matthew drinks a beer when he's with Henry alone (while Stan is tracking Martha), he offers Henry a glass, and then offers Paige a bottle when she comes over (when Henry complains about that, Matthew points out Paige is older, but Paige offers Henry some of her beer). Unusually for this trope, this scene is neither Played for Laughs or as An Aesop, but presented naturally.
- Shout-Out: Henry and Matthew watch a commercial featuring Brooke Shields.
