[[Recap/TheAmericansS4E6TheRat Martha continues to be on the run]], with Philip and the FBI both trying to find her. Philip stays with Joan at the message center, while Elizabeth (disguised as "Jennifer") goes out looking for her, and Gabriel waits at the safe house. The FBI hears Martha calling her parents, telling them not to worry about any news she might hear, and track her to the park. However, "Jennifer" gets there first (thanks to a call Martha makes to Philip) and gets her away. Back at the Rezidentura, Arkady, Oleg and Tatiana work out a plan to exfiltrate Martha, and Philip spends the night with Martha to get her to go to the Soviet Union, but he makes it clear he won't be coming along, and he also makes it clear to Elizabeth he loves her.
