The Cyber Shredder has finally managed to escape cyber space and enter the real world. As he attempts take over New York City by accessing the central mainframe the Turtles realize what's happened and race to stop him.
This episode provides examples of
- Bus Full of Innocents: Leo and Mikey save a subway train full of civilians when the Shredder makes it go out of control.
- Call-Back: Mikey defeats the Cyber Shredder by making him slice through the support bars on the platform above the power generators. Master Splinter used this exact same method to make the Utrom Shredder slice through the support beams of the water tower in "The Shredder Strikes Part 2."
- Chekhov's Classroom: Early in the episode, Leo tries to teach Mikey to start planning his moves out, while Mikey prefers to improvise. At the end, it's one of Mikey's spur-of-the-moment ideas that defeats Cyber Shredder.
- Dwindling Party: Hun's Purple Dragons at the start of the episode are picked off one by one by the Cyber Shredder.
- The End... Or Is It?: The Cyber Shredder's lifeless body gets hit with a sudden jolt of electricity, allowing a port to sprout out of his hand into a nearby cable and upload energy.
- "Eureka!" Moment: Mikey upon seeing what happens when the Cyber Shredder slices one support pole.
- Everything Is Online: The Cyber Shredder is able to take over the entire city this way.
- Evil Is Bigger: The Cyber Shredder is One Head Taller than Hun. Hun is 7'2".
- Genre Blindness: A rare example from the Turtles themselves. By this point they really should know better than to assume any version of the Shredder is permanently defeated and leaving him for dead just because he's not moving.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: After Cyber Shredder defeats Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Casey, he prepares to do the same with Michelangelo. Thinking fast, Michelangelo tricks Cyber Shredder into slicing the support poles on the platform he was standing on.Cyber Shredder: What have you done!?Michelangelo : Nothing. That was all you, Shreddy-bear!(Cyber Shredder falls into the power generators below)
- Mythology Gag: The news reporter from 'Channel 6 News' has short auburn hair and a canary yellow jacket.
- Reactive Continuous Scream: The people in the subway scream at the sight of Mike, who screams back.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: After the Cyber Shredder gets fried, Khan and the rest of the Foot flee the building.
- Shock and Awe: While not designed as weapons, the city mainframe's backup power plant sure works as one in a pinch.
- Shut Up, Kirk!:Leonardo: It's over, Khan! Release the city!
