Robin is upset when they interrupt a villainous monologue from Brother Blood and tries to teach the other Titans about the value of patience.
- Babysitter from Hell: Robin's second attempt to teach the Titans about patience has him play the role of a baby that they need to be patient with while he has a tantrum. They end up throwing him through a window.
- Cherry Tapping: Cyborg just lightly dings Brother Blood's robot after he wears himself out beating up Robin, and it falls down like a felled tree.
- Cliffhanger: Both the figurative and the literal kind are used in an episode of "Dog and Baby" when Robin makes the Titans wait an entire week to learn what happens.
- Evil Gloating: The episode starts with Brother Blood trying to gloat about his evil plan, and Robin wanting to hear what it is, but the other Titans decide to beat him up and make him run away before he reveals it.
- Fire-Breathing Diner: Robin's third attempt to teach patience is by cooking the Titans a pizza and telling them to wait for it to cool down before taking a bite. None of them can wait a full minute, and end up exploding from how hot it is.

- Time Machine: Robin's first attempt to teach patience, by having them watch a show that only airs weekly, is thwarted by the other Titans using a time machine to skip ahead to next week.
- Transformation Sequence: Robin pumps each of the Titans with the blood of Matthew McConaughey, the paragon of patience, which makes them patient and also gives them all wavy blonde hair.
- Verbal Tic: After being McConaughey'd, the other Titans have a habit of saying "Alright, alright, alright".
- Walking Shirtless Scene: Beast Boy is this after getting McConaughey'd, compared to the others wearing some of McConaughey's iconic suits.
- Wins by Doing Absolutely Nothing: Compared to the opening with the Titans being shoot first ask questions never, they just sit back and let Brother Blood's giant robot's battery drain from beating on Robin after being taught patience.
