Superjail holds its annual Superjail Grand Prix. The winning team gets to go free, but we all know nothing comes free in Superjail.

"Superjail! Grand Prix" contains examples of:

  • Continuity Nod: The serial killer from "Cold-Blooded" is back to join the race, chaining an unwilling inmate to the hood of his body part-decorated car. Jimmy Jazz and his band from "Combaticus" also show up in the race.
    • The gun-headed dinosaurs from one of the earlier openings also return for a cameo.
    • The lunch ladies are still at it with their cannibalizing ways, as one course directs drivers through "The Loafer", a special room where they collect dead bodies and even eviscerate living inmates for use in their cooking.
    • Redneck from "Superbar" ("It's ALICE!") also joins in on the race, along with the starving inmate, who's shown among the hungry and happy inmates enjoying meals from Turban's falafel truck.
  • Downer Ending: The Warden's need for hiring a ringer to cheat for him in the race winds up proving deadly to Franco, who has both hands cut off by a monster. He is then left to slowly and painfully die from his loss of blood, Much to the Warden's sadness.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: If you pause the lineup of vehicles and their drivers, you can make out the different names. The Warden's car is called "Purple Justice", Ash's car is "Smoking Hot", Jean and Paul drive the "Log Jam", Gary has a "Bird" car, Jimmy Jazz and band ride "Funk in the Trunk", and Redneck rides his "Hot Tub".
  • I'm a Humanitarian: Implied with "The Loafer", a room where the lunch ladies collect ingredients for use in their cooking (with piles of dead bodies being shown). The implements in the room even eviscerate living inmates for harvest of their organs.
  • Rodents of Unusual Size: Two of them kill a few inmates in the rat tube part of the race course.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Fatty makes the very fatal error of trying to seduce a jail creature that he believes is a small child.
  • Wacky Racing: The premise and setting of this episode.
