After the blast that sends Tuxedo Mask into unconsciousness, Sailor Moon breaks down. As she does so, her deep love and grief for Tuxedo Mask breaks the seal on her memories, and she realises that she, not Minako, is the real Princess Serenity. She breaks the seal on the Legendary Silver Crystal, and uses the magic to aid Tuxedo Mask, before he is kidnapped by Kunzite and Queen Beryl.

- Big "NO!": Usagi does this when Mamoru is kidnapped.
- Body to Jewel: Princess Serenity's tear turns into the Silver Crystal.
- Bowdlerization: Usagi's nightmare ends with Queen Beryl killing Tuxedo Mask after deeming him useless. In the original manga, readers are treated to a shot of Mamoru's corpse, now reduced to a Skull for a Head. Here, he is simply disintegrated.
- Distressed Dude: Tuxedo Mask is abducted by Beryl and Kunzite.
- Group Hug: The Senshi use this to help comfort and encourage a despondent Usagi.
- Heroic BSoD: When Mamoru falls in Usagi's arms, after regaining memories of her past life, she holes up in her room, constantly crying and having nightmares. She snaps out of it with the Senshi's help.
- Ignored Epiphany: Kunzite seems to recognize Mamoru and the name "Endymion," but after a moment of shock he denies it, instead reminding the other Heavenly Kings that their only concern is obtaining the Silver Crystal for the Dark Kingdom.
- It's All My Fault: Besides blaming herself for not being able to protect the Princess, Luna feels that she caused the above Heroic BSOD by not trusting her more, and putting her through hardships instead.
- Power Makes Your Hair Grow: Usagi's hair grows much longer after turning into Princess Serenity.
- Say My Name:Usagi: TUXEDO KAMEN!
- Star-Crossed Lovers: It is against the law of God for people of the Earth and people of the Moon to meet. Endymion and Serenity wind up causing a war for their trouble.
- You Are Not Alone: After having given this to Sailor Venus in the previous episode, all four of the other Sailor Guardians (plus Luna and Artemis) give this to Usagi when they visit her in her room.
