Mario becomes spiderman and unleashes havoc on the Mushroom Kingdom

Mario eats a radioactive spider to gain Spider Man's powers in order to steal pizzas the latter intended to give to the poor. But when the plan goes awry and he accidentally kills him, Mario takes it upon himself to assume the former hero's mantle.

• Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Despite initially choosing the pizzas over Luigi, Mario changes his mind at the last moment and saves him from falling. Dr. Octopus is touched by this only to be knocked down by Mario for the trouble.
• Continuity Nod: The episode starts at Omnia Academy.
• Disproportionate Retribution: Luigi summons a bunch of Spiderman antagonists because Mario caused him to get electrocuted and gain dimensional warping superpowers. The former is a more understandable reason, but shouldn't Luigi be glad that Mario caused him to gain superpowers?
• Everyone Has Standards: Mario's horrified when he accidentally kills Spiderman in his attempt to steal the pizzas.
• Friend-or-Idol Decision: Dr. Octopus gives Mario the choice whether to save Luigi or the pizzas from falling. Mario chooses the pizzas... but changed his mind when Dr. Octopus actually drops them and saves Luigi instead.
• My God, What Have I Done?: Mario may have been mad at him for taking the pizza to feed the homeless, but he's horrified when chasing after Spiderman results in the superhero's death.
  Mario: SORRY!!! I JUST WANTED PIZZA, NOT DEATH!
• Homage: To Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Mario's universe equivalent of Spiderman ends up dying, so Mario ends up "taking his place" and Spider people and their villains from other universes end up being brought to the episode.
• Status Quo Is God: Mario and Luigi lose their powers after eating too much pizzas.
