Wario has the Nintendo Power Glove and is threatening the safety of the world! Can Mario and his newly recruited team of heroes stop him in time?
Wario obtains the dangerous Power Glove, and uses it to create all sorts of chaos. Mario thus resolves to band together a crew of superheroes and stop Wario.- Covers Always Lie: The thumbnail has a sun background, implying it will be a galactic adventure against Wario. Instead, the entire adventure takes place in the Mushroom Kingdom.
- Create Your Own Hero: Wario steals the metal beam Steve was standing on to use as a weapon against Mario and Bowser, which results in Steve falling into a radioactive waste barrel and gaining superpowers.
- Deus ex Machina: When Wario begins making the Super Dudes disintegrate, Trash Bag (Luigi dressed up as Batman) bursts in through the roof and crushes Wario, accidentally pressing a button that undoes the disintegration process.
- Groin Attack: Captain Steve uses this to incapacitate a giant Waluigi.
- Make My Monster Grow: During the final battle, Wario uses the Power Glove to make Waluigi grow into a muscular giant (complete with 80’s action hero mullet!).
- Mind-Control Device: During their first fight, Wario uses the Power Glove to mind control E. Gadd, Peach, Toad, Bowser Jr. and Heavy into fighting the Super Dudes.
- Mundane Utility: The reason Wario stole the Power Glove in the first place? To scratch his ass.
- Restrained Revenge: Wario mind controlled a dozen people, killed a few people, and tried to murder the Super Dudes twice. When they finally catch him, all they do is leave him hanging by his underwear from the top of his throne.
- Shout-Out: Quite a few happen during the episode.
- The Power Glove appears straight from the Nintendo Entertainment System and The Wizard, complete with now being a Tricked-Out Glove capable of doing almost anything.
- Captain Steve's outfit and superpowers (flight and super strength) are clear Superman references.
- The scene where Wario zaps the Super Dudes and causes them to start disintegrating is a clear reference to Avengers: Infinity War.
- Trash Bag's outfit and mannerisms are clear Batman references.
- Share the Male Pain: Mario holds on to his Pingas after seeing Captain Steve using a Groin Attack on Waluigi.
- Superhero Episode: The episode revolves around Mario, Bowser, Boopkins and Steve forming a superhero group to stop Wario.
- Super Team: Mario forms the Super Dudes to fight Wario. The group ends up consisting of Fat Man (Mario), Flame Boi (Bowser), Sonic Boop (Fishy Boopkins), Captain Steve (Steve) and Trash Bag (Luigi).
- Team Title: The episode is named "The Super Dudes", the same name Mario calls his team of superheroes.
- Toxic Waste Can Do Anything: Wario unintentionally drops Steve into a barrel of radioactive waste. The result is Steve gaining flight and super strength.
- Tricked-Out Gloves: The Power Glove is capable of shooting laser beams that can do all sorts of stuff, from setting things on fire, causing explosions, even making people dust away.
