The Reds and Blues come to terms with Church leaving. Meanwhile, the Federal and New Republic armies prepare for battle.

- Both Sides Have a Point: Church admits, as important as his mission with Carolina was, leaving without saying goodbye was kind of dick move.
- Easily Forgiven: Discussed. Tucker is still pissed at Church for leaving with Carolina, but the others have come to terms with it, and realize that investigating Control was more important than remaining in the canyon.
- Hypocritical Humor: During Caboose's "motivational speech" to Tucker, he says that if all Tucker wants is to be angry and mean all the time then that's dumb and he's dumb for thinking that. This is immediately lampshaded by Grif and Sarge.Grif: Did Caboose just call someone dumb?
Sarge: Well that's calling the kettle blue. - Idiot Ball: Discussed. Wash admits that just accepting Freckles' drive from Locus was a huge lapse in judgement, it turns out that it had a tracking device attached.
- Pet the Dog: After discovering that Freckles' storage unit had a tracking device in the previous episode, rather than simply destroying it and Freckles, Church is able to erase the tracking system from the unit instead, while also assuring Caboose that Freckles is perfectly fine.
- Rousing Speech: Caboose attempts to give one to Tucker, similar to the ones Sarge gave back in Season 8 and 10, about how he needs to stop being angry at Church and forgive him. It comes off as very ridiculous to everyone else and Caboose ends it by randomly shouting "So shut up and get over it!" after he seemed to already be over.
