The Rangers are lured to Corinth by a fake distress call, leaving Professor Cog free to invade Earth.
- Adapted Out: Unlike Gokaiger's tribute to Go-Onger, which saw the return of the former Red Ranger, no RPM Rangers are reprised here.
- An entire battlenote against what would have been Professor Cog's lieutenantnote is omitted. As well as simply cutting time, it may have something to do with the fact that that whole battle took place in a Cowboy World which was not adapted to RPM, which entailed the monster using a realistic rifle with extensive gunplay.
- Composite Character: While Pollution President Babatcheed was the sucessor of Batcheed from Shinkenger vs. Go-Onger, Professor Cog is the very same Professor Cog who was scrapped back in Clash of the Red Rangers, only this time his arms have been swapped.
- Compressed Adaptation: A tribute to Power Rangers RPM, this episode, like "Samurai Surprise" before it, adapts Gokaiger's two-part tribute to Engine Sentai Go-onger.
- Monster of the Week: Professor Cog
- Transformation Sequence: The Super Mega Rangers morph in homage to RPM. Due to reusing the footage for the Go-Onger morph from Gokaiger, the Rangers now physically put on the RPM helmets, which originally dropped into their owners' heads by themselves. Super Megaforce Silver puts both of his counterparts helmets together to become RPM Gold & Silver.
