Go To

Adapted from Samurai Sentai Shinkenger vs. Go-Onger: GinmakuBang!!.

A Red Ranger from another dimension appears when a villain from his world crosses over with plans to use the Nighlok water to wipe out humanity.

Tropes

  • Adaptation Amalgamation: Primarily an adaptation of Shinkenger vs. Go-Onger, this special also incorporates Shinkenger The Movie and episode 36.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Unlike the Sentai, where Takeru and Sosuke fought just because, Jayden and Scott are explicitly hit with a toxin delivered through “hypno bolts” that makes them more aggressive towards each other.
  • Crossover Power Acquisition: Scott gets to use the Shark Disc to reach Shark Attack Mode just like the Samurai Rangers can.
  • Fake Shemp:
    • "Antonio" is only ever seen unmorphed from the back, and is dubbed by someone who sounds nothing like Steven Skyler.
    • Zigzagged with Scott, since he never demorphs he's played by a stunt double the entire time but is still voiced by Eka Darville under a fake name due to being a Union actor.
  • Let's You and Him Fight: Jayden gets caught up in one with Scott. Of course, with a title like "Clash of the Red Rangers", what do you expect?
  • Magic Versus Science: Downplayed, but throughout the episode Scott, who relies on technology, mocks the Samurai team for how "old school" they are relying on swords and magic.
  • Meaningful Echo:
(15 minutes in) Mike: I still don't trust him. And I don't like the way he looks at you.
Emily: He's wearing a helmet. How can you tell?
(44 minutes in) Scott: I do have eyes under here, you know. I've seen the way she looks at you.
  • Monster of the Week: A bunch, due to adapting multiple installments. The main villain, representing RPM's enemies, is Professor Cog. In addition are three Nighloks, Sergeant Tread (Shinkenger vs. Go-Onger), General Gut (Shinkenger the Movie) and Sharkjaw (Shinkenger #36).
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: The Samurai Rangers except for Jayden get to visit the RPM-verse, but all we get is "Your team says 'Hi.'"
  • Out of Order: "Clash of the Red Rangers" was aired between the original batch of episodes and Super Samurai, earlier than its intended place in the story with several power-ups and characters appearing out of nowhere.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Sharkjaw isn't so much as mentioned again after jumping off Xandred's boat.
