  • And I Must Scream: Jarrod does this to expel Dai Shi from his body. Subsequently, the latter tries to kill him for doing so.
  • Armor-Piercing Question:
    • After Casey runs off:
Master Mao: Are you trying to save Jarrod or redeem yourself?!
    • Camille claims it's Dai Shi she loves and not Jarrod, but Snapper is skeptical.
Snapper: Are you sure about that?
    • Theo insists that Lily made it painfully obvious they were Just Friends.
Fran: The only thing that is painfully obvious is that you never really asked her out, did you?
  • Big "NO!": Jarrod/Dai Shi's reaction to Casey insisting there's good in him.
  • Everyone Can See It:
    • The reason why the other villains are turning on Camille is because she's fallen for Jarrod, not Dai Shi. And Jarrod's love for her is helping him fight off Dai Shi's control.
    • Fran chides Theo for passing up Lily's obvious overture, saying everyone knows he likes her.
  • Foreshadowing: Discussing To Kill a Mockingbird, Dominic talks to Casey about how one guy is willing to stand up for what he believes in regardless of what everyone else says.
  • Freudian Excuse: Dominic reflects on how Jarrod had a rough childhood and struggled to fit in with others. Hearing this, Casey becomes convinced that Jarrod just needed someone to reach out to him.
  • "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: Between Casey and Jarrod/Dai Shi.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: Dai Shi insists that Jarrod has completely transferred over to the dark side. Shortly after Casey and Jarrod's fight, Jarrod manages to successfully expel Dai Shi from his body.
  • It's All My Fault: Casey felt partial responsible for everything that's happened in the whole series.
  • Kill Me Now, or Forever Stay Your Hand: Casey does this to Jarrod/Dai Shi, believing that Jarrod won't be able to go through with it.
  • Refusal of the Call: Jarrod won't help the Rangers defeat Dai Shi for good, feeling he's "done enough".
  • Shout-Out: Dominic is reading To Kill a Mockingbird.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!:
Dai Shi: You foolish boy! Jarrod no longer exists! I have swallowed his humanity. He is now my slave.
Casey: No, you can't have him! He's Pai Zhua! He's one of us!
  • Storming the Castle: Casey attacks Dai Shi's palace. Midway through, he has an Oh, Crap! moment when he realizes he's attacking Dai Shi's palace alone.
Whose idea was this again? Oh right, mine.
  • This Is Something He's Got to Do Himself: Casey is determined to save Jarrod on his own.
RJ: (to the other Rangers) This is Casey's destiny.
  • Trash the Set: In a fun reversal, it's the villain's lair who gets this as Casey and Jarrod ravage Dai Shi's palace in their fight.
  • Unflinching Walk: Casey does one, tearing through a small army while in Tranquil Fury mode in the process.
  • The War Has Just Begun: Dai Shi says this at the end of the episode.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: Casey's stubborn refusal to give up on Jarrod. He admits Jarrod wasn't the purest soul, but he's seen some good in him (saving Camille) and won't give up on him. He's ultimately vindicated.
  • You Fool!: Dai Shi to Casey over his attempts to reach Jarrod.
