With Dai Shi rampaging on society, the Rangers and their allies must give everything they've got to stop him for good.

Tropes

  • Book Ends: The series begins and ends with Casey and Jarrod exchanging towels.
  • Boss Rush: The final battle.
  • Conservation of Ninjutsu:
    • In the final battle, every single "special" monster, like Phantom Beasts, Five Fingers of Poison, Red Shadow Guards and Overlords is revived. The Rangers and their masters deal with them quite easily, considering how much trouble some of them caused alone.
    • Downplayed with the original three rangers, being that although they are able to defend against 5 monsters at the same time, they would have lost if they had not been saved by their masters.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Jarrod and Camille toward the end of the series. Although Jarrod, while a Jerkass, wasn't actually evil before being (unwillingly) possessed by Dai Shi.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Instead of remaining in exile with Jarrod, Camille chose to help the Rangers defeat her former master Dai Shi.
Camille: The Yellow Ranger once told me, inside I was a good person, I'm gonna prove she was right.
  • Series Fauxnale: Had Jetix Europe and Bandai not persuaded Disney to do one more season, this would've been the final episode of the franchise.
  • Villain Decay: Although this applies to all villains due to the Conservation of Ninjutsu, Scorch is the biggest example, being that he suffered Decay in the same episode, before he died for the first time he was able to beat the old masters, and the rangers needed a combo attack to beat him, when revived after a few minutes, Casey is able to fight at his level on his own.
  • Where It All Began: We return to the chamber where Dai Shi was released in the first episode, as it's where Jarrod was planning to exile himself forever.
