3 different groups begin racing to reach the Rhino Nexus. As Dai Shi & Camille, The Overlords and the Rangers all begin fighting each other to get the rhino powers.
Tropes
- The Bad Guy Wins: Downplayed. While Dominic claims the Zord, Dai Shi is able to gain a significant power boost from this experience. And as a bonus, Dominic destroys Carnisoar, thus ridding Dai Shi of one of the obstacles to regaining his throne.
- Divide and Conquer: Played with. The Sand Snakes split up the overlords, giving the rangers a better chance fighting them one on one. On the other hand, Dominic running ahead to get the powers left him isolated to fight Jellica, who he manages to just beat.
- The End... Or Is It?: As the Rangers celebrate their victory, Dai Shi reflects on the ways they ended up helping him, while Grizzaka escapes from captivity.
- My Death Is Just the Beginning: Just before exploding, Carnisoar states that while the rangers have won the battle, the war is not over.
- Pet the Dog: Dai Shi saves Camille from one of the Sand Snakes. It's ambiguous if Dai Shi was just employing Pragmatic Villainy or if it's Jarrod's true personality.
- Sand Worm: Sand Snakes to be precise. They're among the defenses protecting the area. They cause some trouble here and there, particularly snaring Grizzaka for most of the episode.
- Wham Episode: Dominic gets a Zord of his own, Carnisoar is destroyed, and Dai Shi gains enough power to directly challenge Grizzaka.
