Recap / Power Rangers Beast Morphers Episode 7 A Friend Indeed

Go To

Amidst a fallout between the Beast Bots and their companions, Evox wipes the memories of the Beast Bots, forcing the Rangers to reclaim their memory banks and reconcile with them.

Episode Tropes:

  • The Bait: Jax volunteers himself to be this, in order to lure Railtron into a trap.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Both Devon and Ravi find out the hard way that having Beast Bots that follow your direct orders is not as great as you'd think.
    • Devon wanted Cruise to take a shortcut he talked about earlier; Cruise sends them on an off road path through tree branches and a mud pit.
    • Ravi wanted Smash to go all out in their sparring matches; he gets a Megaton Punch to the gut that sends him flying.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The hologram projector Nate demonstrated becomes essential in ambushing Railtron to recover Cruise and Smash's memory discs.
  • Evil Laugh: Scrozzle gives one at the end.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Played for Drama. When Zoe can't find her tablet despite Jax saying it was charging in Nate's lab, she believes that Jax carelessly misplaced it. Turns out she had put her coat over it.
  • Foreshadowing: Nate comments that he'd love to have someone like the Beast Bots to look out for him and be like a brother. He gets his wish in the next episode.
  • I Take Offense to That Last One: Lampshaded when Railtron called Jax "a worthless little bunny" when he was about to steal his memories:
Jax: "Worthless" I can take, but nobody calls me "little"!
  • Machine Monotone: Cruise and Smash speak like this after their memory data are stolen.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: The Rangers all have this reaction when they realize just how poorly they've been treating their Beast Bots.
  • Never My Fault: Lampshaded by Nate when Devon and Ravi blame Cruise and Smash for mishaps even though they were following their Exact Words.
  • Only Sane Man: Nate is the only one who immediately recognizes that the Beast Bots losing their personalities and becoming mindless drones is not a good thing.
  • The Reveal: Scrozzle finally reveals his plan to Blaze and Roxy: he's building a cyber gate to send Evox back into the real world and take over the Morphin Grid.
