Phineas and Ferb have decided to build a tree-house for themselves and remodel Candace's old one.
Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz attemps to take revenge on his "goody two-shoes brother" Roger.
This episode marks the first appearance of Roger Doofenshmirtz.

- Bait-and-Switch: While condemning taxi drivers, Doof is handed a plunger detonator labeled "Boom", clearly setting up the classic cartoon scenario of setting off a bomb. Upon pressing the plunger, a 2 ton weight drops instead.
- Bird-Poop Gag: Doofenshmirtz attempts to invoke this on his brother by mind controlling the city's pigeons with the Poop-Inator.
- Curbstomp Battle: Stacy beats Candace in the wrestling videogame 25 times in a row.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: Roger receives the key to the city from the current unnamed Mayor just for being a goody-two-shoes and being overly handsome. It is not until "Hail Doofania" that he is officially elected the Mayor of Danville.
- False Reassurance: Isabella is a bit wary when Phineas is about to launch her to the treehouse platform with a tube-swing cannon, but he says they haven't missed yet...because she's the first passenger.Isabella: Wait, what?!
- Fun with Acronyms: Stacy pushes a button reading “THF”, which means “Tree House Fight”.

- A Running Gag has Phineas and Ferb wearing different costumes throughout the fight. This is a reference to a gag in Duck Soup during the war sequence where Groucho keeps wearing different military uniforms throughout.
- The Stinger: Other than the reprise of "My Goody Two-Shoes Brother" during the credits, the very last image shown is Doofenshmirtz walking out of his building all covered in pigeon crap.
- Team Rocket Wins: From Candace's viewpoint, this is one of the only times she gets the last laugh over her brothers by knocking them out with water balloons.
- Transforming Mecha: Those treehouses can turn into Humongous Mechas.
