It's Christmas Eve, and Peppa and George meet all their friends and sled down all the hills to post their letters to Father Christmas. Mr. Zebra, the postman, comes to collect all the letters. Peppa's parents then call her and George to the car to collect their Christmas tree from Miss Rabbit's tree shop. Daddy Pig then buys the biggest tree, and Mr. Bull comes to put it on their car's roof. However, their car is way too small for it. Instead of buying a smaller tree, Daddy decides to carry it home. It takes almost all day for him to get back home. When he comes back, the family decorate it. Peppa then sings a song about the Christmas tree, then shouts "oink" very loudly multiple times.
Peppa then puts out a snack for Father Christmas, and questions why he goes down the chimney instead of using the door. Daddy Pig tells Peppa that if she sees him, he should ask him. They then go upstairs to bed, and Peppa tries listing out all the presents her friends want, however Daddy tells her to go to bed. Peppa tries to stay awake to see him, but quickly dozes off. However, she's woken up by loud banging from the roof. It turns out to be Father Christmas himself, but he accidentally loses his lift trying to fit down the chimney.
Peppa and George peek downstairs to find Father Christmas. They introduce themselves to him, and he puts presents down for Peppa and George. Peppa asks how he knows what to give everyone, but when he shows her his list, he finds out it's missing. Thankfully, Peppa lists all of their presents to him, and Father Christmas sets off back up the chimney, but Peppa asks why he doesn't use the door. He then uses the door.
Come morning, Peppa and George go downstairs to open their presents, a train for George, and a yo-yo for Peppa. Peppa's friends all come outside to show her what they got, and they all got what they wanted. Peppa then reveals that she helped Father Christmas out to her friends. Granny and Grandpa Pig come to Peppa's house, and they point out the bootprints on their roofs. The episode then ends with everyone throwing snowballs at each other.
