During playgroup, Pedro catches a cough, and begins spreading it to all the other kids. When it's time for the kids to be picked up by their parents, all the parents get the cough too, as well as Madame Gazelle. Dr. Brown Bear is called in, but then he ends up catching the cough too, so who will look after him when he is sick?
Tropes:
- Abridged for Children: Instead of using the word "contagious" to show that Pedro's cough is just that, they say that it's "catching".
- Disease-Prevention Aesop: Averted. Judging by the plot of the episode, one would expect this to happen, but for some reason it just doesn't.
- Foul Medicine: The medicine Dr. Brown Bear gives to the kids tastes awful.
- The Plague: Extremely downplayed, which makes sense since this is a kid's show. The cough spreads to everyone in town, but it's not much more than just uncomfortable.
