  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Despite being on bad terms Beecher warns Keller that Ronald Barlog is planning to snitch on him.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Said arranges for Tidd to be let out of the hole and to be allowed to return to Em City to reward him for intervening on Arif's behalf against Robson and Hoyt.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Said considers the aging drug immoral and unnatural.
  • Enemy Mine: Despite their bad blood Alvarez is willing to be The Mole for Glynn if he is allowed out of solitary. Glynn makes it clear he will always despise Alvarez but sees how this could be good for him and agrees.
  • A Father to His Men: Basil's old cop boss clearly cares about him and encourages him to see his wife.
  • Good Is Not Nice: McManus hates the O'Reily brothers and threatens to shut the aging drug program down if Gloria includes them in the project.
  • If You're So Evil, Eat This Kitten!: Morales will only allow Alvarez to rejoin El Norte if he kills Redding.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: It makes sense McManus would be confused as to why Gloria wants to help the men who killed her husband.
  • Never My Fault: When Alvarez says he is in solitary because of Hernandez, Glynn tells him it was his own actions that put him there.
  • Odd Friendship; Vern continues to grow fond of Cloutier and speaks highly of him to Carrie.
  • Papa Wolf: Glynn has Clayton brought to Oz so he can protect him.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: Augustus contacts the woman Vahue tried to rape to ruin his chances of parole.
  • Prison Rape: Howell makes it clear she won't allow Ryan to end the relationship and threatens to rape Cyril if he does.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Burr argues he wouldn't have been dumb enough to make himself a murder suspect by killing one of the refugees.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Glynn agrees to let Busmalis get married so long as he causes no trouble. Given Busmalis just recently tried to escape, that's borderline generous.
  • We Want Our Jerk Back!: After Schillinger tells them not to kill Said, Robson and Hoyt try to threaten Cloutier to stay away from Vern so he will turn back into a ruthless bastard.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Robson reveals to Hoyt that he plans to kill Tidd as soon as he has took care of Said for the Brotherhood.
