After being forced to spend time together in ad-seg, Carol and Barb are more determined than ever to kill one another and keep urging their respective blocks to be at odds with one another. Madison bribes a guard to get Piper more time on her sentence, but Alex goes to Carol and offers to work for her if she stops Madison from harassing Piper. Gloria desperately tries to warn everyone about Fantasy Inmate while McCollough shows signs of extreme PTSD after her experience in the riot. Taystee's trial continues with the support of both Caputo and CO Ward.

PolyCon in the meantime try to improve their image with a video of the inmates.

• Bribe Backfire:
  • Madison asks CO Hellman to dirty up Piper's record so that she'll get extra time on her sentence and he requests a blowjob in exchange. Madison says it's been a while but she's down for it, only for CO Hellman to look disgusted and demand that someone else does it.
  • Shortly after bribing CO Hellman, Carol tells Madison that she needs to back off Piper as it was the deal for Alex working for them. A desperate Madison tries to intervene but Hellman has already added fake reports to Piper's record.
• Comically Missing the Point: When Red calls Frieda her 'white whale', Madison assumes that she's referring to Frieda's size and states that she's not that fat but she could stand to lose a few pounds.
• Flowery Insults: Red telling Madison that she is 'The poster-child for American ignorance' when she misunderstands a Moby-Dick reference.
• Freudian Slip: Suzanne struggles to say her line in the PolyCon promotional video because of this
  Suzanne: PolyCon doesn't care about people. Sorry, my bad. Give me a sec. PolyCon doesn't just care about people.
• Hidden Depths: Madison knows a lot about Disney and the Disney Princesses
  Hellman: I want Mulan and Jasmine over there.
  Madison: Someone's got a thing for Pan-Asian Disney princesses.
  ...
  Madison: But, so you know, Teng is a competitive swimmer and Chambal's from northern Maine. So, you got more of an Ariel-Elsa situation, if you ask me.
• Shell-Shocked Veteran: McCollough ends up shouting at a group of inmates and threatening them with her baton when they start crowding her as it triggers memories of the riot. Other Litchfield guards also admit that they're still traumatised from what the prisoners did to them.

  • Red calls Frieda her 'white whale', referring to titular whale in Moby-Dick.
