硝子のむこう | Garasu no Muko | CHAPTER 49
An ayakashi manages to trap Natsume in a jar with the intent to use him as an offering to a powerful spirit. Madara cannot free Natsume from the jar so he poses as Natsume at school for the day while Natsume is stuck yelling at him for his behavior from inside the jar where he is invisible to humans who cannot see spirits.

- Cliffhanger: The episode ends with the ayakashi that trapped Natsume in the jar in order to use him as an offering to a powerful spirit grabbing it and running off and Tanuma being spotted by a masked youkai as he tries to figure out why he can suddenly see them clearly.
- Human Sacrifice: Natsume is wanted by the ayakashi as an offering.
- Inn Between the Worlds: After the jar containing Natsume is stolen from him Tanuma comes across a building that wasn't there before which a stream of youkai are entering, bringing offerings so they might stay and get protection from the spirit who owns it.
