Tropes:
- An Aesop: You can't let others be locked outside.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Jeffy locks Mario out of the house just because Mario didn't give him chocolate cake.
- Downer Ending: Not only is Mario never able to make it back or stay inside the house no matter what he does, but he gets arrested for apparent trespassing and is humiliated on television again.
- Epic Fail: Jeffy tells Mario that the only way he'll let Mario back in is if he gets him chocolate cake. After giving Jeffy exactly that, Mario slowly creeps out of the chocolate cake and is covered in it, which sends Jeffy running for his life. He then runs after Jeffy out the front door, only to see Jeffy nowhere in sight. Jeffy then appears behind the front door, locking Mario out again. Mario is arrested right then and there.
- Failure Is the Only Option: Mario's many attempts to get back or stay in the house are all unsuccessful.
- Greens Precede Sweets: This episode begins with Mario serving Jeffy peas for dinner. Jeffy tells Mario that he doesn't want to eat peas, and that he wants to eat chocolate cake instead. Mario tells Jeffy that he can't eat chocolate cake unless he eats his peas first. Jeffy tries to fool Mario by hiding his peas in his high chair, but Mario soon finds out. Mario then decides to taunt Jeffy by eating chocolate cake in front of him, only to get tricked by Jeffy into going outside and then getting locked out of his house.
- Here We Go Again!: After Mario brings Jeffy chocolate cake in exchange for being let back inside, he emerges from the cake and ends up running after Jeffy out the front door, only to get locked out of the house again. On top of that, he then swiftly gets arrested.
- Karma Houdini: Jeffy freely torments Mario in this episode and gets no punishment for his clear misdeeds.
- Kick the Dog: Although cruel throughout the entire episode, Jeffy refuses to let Mario back inside the house even when he sees Mario shivering from the cold weather outside.
- Offscreen Teleportation: What Jeffy does to get Mario locked out in the first place.
- Police Are Useless: Brooklyn T. Guy is no help whatsoever to Mario, as he automatically assumes Mario is violating property when he sees Mario trying to enter the house and is easily swayed by Jeffy's lies. The episode ends with him arresting Mario upon seeing him trying to enter the house again.
- Smart Ball: Jeffy not only outsmarts Mario to go outside, but he locks him out of the house as well as claim the house as his over a chocolate cake.
- Spoiled Brat: Jeffy is this in general, but it's especially seen in this video. After Mario promises to give Jeffy chocolate cake for eating his peas and drinking his coke, Jeffy throws his coke-filled sippy cup across the room and dumps his peas in his chair in an attempt to fool Mario. Mario understandably does not reward Jeffy with cake, so Jeffy responds by locking Mario out and taunting him while preventing him from getting back in.
- You Have to Believe Me!: Mario gets nowhere trying to tell Brooklyn T. Guy that Jeffy lock him out and he's just trying to get into his own home. Made worse since he actually sold Mario the house.
