- Didn't See That Coming: Both Hope and Lizzie are jarred that Jen, a seemingly stoned normal woman, suddenly exhibits super strength then literally flies into the air.Lizzie: What the hell was that?Hope: If I had to guess...a god.
- Didn't Think This Through: It turns out there's a great reason Lizzie can't kill Hope: By using Hope's blood to become a vampire, Lizzie made Hope her sire and thus not only can't harm Hope herself but also can't allow anyone else to.
- Evil Makeover: Hope has dyed her hair black to suit her Face–Heel Turn.
- No-Sell: Lizzie's attempt to compel Jen doesn't work. Ben later walks unfazed through the barrier spell that Cleo had placed around the room he's in. In both cases, it turns out that gods are inherently immune to most forms of magic that aren't their own.
- The Reveal: Ben is actually Prometheus (although he says that was never his real name), cursed with immortality for stealing fire from the gods.
- Rodents of Unusual Size: The Monster of the Week that attacks Ben is not named on-screen, but it's a human-sized porcupine creature that can teleport (leading MG to theorize that the teleporting power Malivore gave to Ethan came from one of this species) and has wooden quills that it can fire as projectiles.
