Larry hears a call for help at the carnival with the cotton candy machine having gone crazy. Herbert and Wally eat all of the cotton candy and it is revealed that the Alchemist used Ultra sucrose enhancement catalyzer to sabotage the machine. The Alchemist shows up and sprays Larry-Boy with his flower.

- An Aesop: "The way to feel super again is to build others up, not to make them feel small."
- Bond Villain Stupidity: Both the Alchemist and Mother Pearl's plan is to make Larry-Boy shrink the citizens of Bumblyburg by making him think he's better and puts others down. What they didn't think is what would happen if they actually got shrunk themselves thanks to Larry-Boy as they're in Bumblyburg. You could argue that either the chemical doesn't effect them either because they aren't real citizens or because it can't effect themselves, which even then Mother Pearl shrunk her son after being sprayed.
- Birthday Episode: The "Cuke of All Trades" short is this.
- Creator Cameo: The voice of the mailman in the "Cuke of All Trades" short was provided by series co-creator and character designer, Tom Bancroft.
- Embarrassing Nickname: The Alchemist is known by his mother as "Cubby".
- Evil Knockoff: Alter-Ego is this to Larry-Boy.
- Evil Plan: The Alchemist sabotaged the cotton candy machine, sprayed Larry-Boy with a chemical that makes people he insults shrink and once everyone will shrink the Alchemist will rule Bumblyburg.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: A non-lethal example. The Alchemist accidentally sprayed at Mother Pearl and she called him a "klutz", making him shrink.
- Interactive Narrator: The shrunken Officer Olaf tells the narrator to never make any "little" jokes.
