When the Arlen track team coach sees Bobby's abysmal performance in every track-and-field sport, he decides to accept Bobby into the team to use him as a form of punishment when the other athletes are doing badly or disobeying him by replacing them with Bobby and using his results.
Tropes:
- Bait-and-Switch Comment: After Bobby's first day on the track team, Dale recalls Boomhauer had a bit where he told Dale his mom died, then adds that it took the sting off when she actually did due to how often it happened.
- Didn't Think This Through: When one of the players injures himself, the coach realizes that no other players are available except for Bobby. The coach, clearly unprepared for this, has no choice but to use Bobby. Thankfully, through dumb luck and the other runners tripping over themselves, he manages to win.
- Special Guest: Reoccurring guest star Phill Hendrie as Coach Palmer.
