Are you having fun with your Roëmænce Partnær, Vroon?
Setchan: Previously on… Zenkaiger!
The kids were all excited over a haunting!
Was it the Tozitend, or an actual ghost? Some things will forever remain unseen!
One of those things being people's emotions...

Love is in the air...even though it's way past Valentine's Day. Renai Wald's powers cause everyone to start falling in love with each other, to Vroon's confusion. As he tries to understand the reasoning behind this strange turn of events, Karen - Kaito's middle school classmate - inexplicably falls in love with him, and thus a whirlwind romance between man and Kikanoid is born!

Tropes

  • Aspect Ratio Switch: Using Sentai Gear #15 (Choujin Sentai Jetman) changes the aspect ratio to 16:9 to 4:3 as it pays homage to the ending of Jetman.
  • Bait-and-Switch: Kaito tries to avoid falling in love with anyone and become a victim of Renai Wald's powers, only for Yatsude to appear with an upgraded Colorful Sundae. He seemingly falls in love with his own grandmother, only for it to shortly reveal he's actually fallen for the inanimate sundae instead.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: In-universe; Kaito asks Secchan just what was going on with the use of Sentai Gear #15 recreating the ending of Jetman.
  • Black Comedy:
    • After a major heartbreak, Vroon's smartphone ringtone is ironically revealed to be wedding music.
    • The whole reenactment of Gai's death from Jetman's final episode is black comedy gold, all the way down to Renai Wald having a One Last Smoke with a rose on the iconic white bench just to really rub it in.
  • Cliffhanger: Stacy stumbles upon a picture of the Goshikidas, focusing heavily on Kaito's parents with a look of recognition on his face.
  • Late-Arrival Spoiler: The reenactment of Gai's death in the final episode of Jetman is very much this.
  • Mythology Gag: In arguably one of the most unconventional usages of the Sentai Gears, Sentai Gear #15 allows the Zenkaigers to pay tribute to the Bittersweet Ending of Jetman, with Magine and Kaito playing the parts of Kaori (White Swan) and Ryu (Red Hawk) while Zocks, Vroon, and Renai Wald playing the woman, the thief, and Gai (Black Condor) respectively. Renai Wald's final scene has him smoking a rose akin to Gai just before he gets destroyed.
  • Refuge in Audacity: Sentai Gear #15 invokes the ending scene of Jetman, allowing Twokaizer and Zenkaizer to get the upper hand when Renai Wald is stuck on the iconic bench, weakened by Vroon's attack.note
  • Shout-Out:
    • Juran's embrace of Gaon is similar to a window scene in the J-drama Long Vacation.
    • A Kikainoid couple under Renai Wald's curse does the iconic "flying" pose from Titanic (1997).
    • Super Renai Wald's special attack is called "Love Me Do".
  • Shot-for-Shot Remake: Sentai Gear #15 creates a 1:1 re-enactment of Jetman's "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue of the final episode.
