Go To

To retrieve a Stone of Power from inside a mysterious floating pyramid, the Local Heroes attempt to solve a series of increasingly dangerous puzzles.

Tropes:

  • 2D Visuals, 3D Effects: The pyramid is a 3D model.
  • All Is Well That Ends Well: Jo is upset that her impatience almost got her mom and the others killed. Queen Xhan assures her that their success is all that matters because everyone survived.
  • An Aesop:
    • Cheating your way through life's problems won't help you in the long run.
    • Solving puzzles and problems require patience and critical thinking.
  • Bigger on the Inside: The Pyramid is large but not large enough to contain the biomes behind the doors in the final puzzle, likely not even large enough to contain the other puzzles. Two of them are a respectively a volcanic mountain and a snowy one.
  • Dungeon Bypass: Jo attempts to use the powers of the stones to bypass the puzzles of the pyramid.
    • The first room involves a ceiling which is set to crush anyone who steps on the floor. The correct way to cross is to trigger the crusher to come down and walk on top of it instead, but Jo has Rosa hold up the crusher with her giant powers.
    • The second room involves a very long staircase where one must climb every single step in order to reach the top and get the reward. Jo has Papa G form a human ladder with his clones so they can reach the top without climbing the stairs.
    • The third room involves a set of doors, each of which that have something dangerous behind it. The trick being that the doors need to be opened in a numbered order, as whatever danger is behind one door will be stopped by the danger behind the next one. Jo has Tuna Sandwich use his future sight to know which door holds the stone.
  • Fast as Lightning: The cosmic stone the heroes are after grants the ability of super speed, leaving a red trail of electricity in their wake.
  • Futuristic Pyramid: The titular floating pyramid is made of a reflective material, containing a series of puzzles for anyone able to enter. It is unknown who created it and why it holds a Cosmic Stone.
  • Glad I Thought of It: Flo is the one who advises her daughter to be patient and look at things at a certain angle to solve each puzzle. When Jo finally gets the message and solves them all during her second run, she simply claims she has no clue how she figured it out.
  • No Fair Cheating: In order to retrieve the laser-guarded stone, all of the pyramid's puzzles have to be completed. Jo successfully guides her friends to bypass each puzzle with their powers. It's not until Flo figures out that the last room needed not only the first token they earned before entering the pyramid, but three other tokens that they would have gotten if they did the puzzles the correct way. When Jo accidentally leaves with the red Speed Stone, she has to go back in and solve all four puzzles correctly to save everyone.
  • Running Gag: Whenever the gang enters a puzzle, Kid is the first person to test it out, only to get the puzzle wrong and nearly die. The goo stone prevents any of the things that happen to him from being fatal.
  • Super-Speed: The red stone of power that the Local Heroes find bestows its user with this power. Jo has to use the stone's power to race against the clock to solve the puzzles correctly before the rest of the team die.
  • Time-Passes Montage: There's a montage of the heroes trying to figure out how to get into the pyramid. The bulk of it shows days passing as they try to look at it from every angle, which means standing around looking at it from different spots.
