Vice: Sorry for startin' the episode all miserable.
Things are finally beginning to settle down after Ikki and I beat Giff.
However, he's been losing memories of his family to our contract, every time he transforms to protect them.
And even then, the guy just kept chuggin' at his own cost...
...until he forgot about his family entirely.
Heroes usually draw the short straw when it comes to saving the world; I get that.
But... this is the only way to help Ikki.

Ikki has defeated Juuga, but at the cost of all his familial memories. Unable to bear living at Happy Spa anymore, Ikki decides to move out and start living alone with Vice.

However, Vice suddenly changes, rampaging as he declares he's going back to being the demon he was originally meant to be. Just what has gotten into Vice...!? And what will Ikki do!?

Tropes

  • A Bloody Mess: Sakura is seen holding a bottle of ketchup while observing Ikki and Vice's battle, suggesting that all of the "blood" seen splattered on the civilians and Vice was from that bottle.
  • Call-Back:
    • Vice claims to have eaten the Igarashis like he declared he would in episode 1.
    • Vice defeats Destream by stamping a rubber duckie and possessing it, referencing the interquel short film Kamen Rider Revice: The Movie.
    • Ikki wearing a suit just as the opening foreshadowed reappears, though it's in a far more innocuous context as he simply wore it to a job interview.
  • Cliffhanger: The episode ends with Ikki in the middle of his battle with Vice.
  • Cruel to Be Kind: Vice decides to play up his demonic qualities and go on a rampage in a bid to have Ikki fight him so the latter could get his memories back.
  • How We Got Here: Vice breaks the fourth wall while sitting in a room in Happy Spa where the family pictures were kept, summarizing the show's events leading to his final duel against Ikki.
  • In Medias Res: The episode begins with Ikki and Vice fighting before going back to a few days before, showing how it led to that point.
  • Loophole Abuse: Vice had figured out that his contract with Ikki will remain intact as long as he has people he considers family. Since Ikki considers Vice his only family at this point, he decides to act like he's turned evil to force Ikki to use his powers again and forget Vice himself, which will hopefully end their "familial" relationship, break the contract and restore Ikki’s other memories, at the sacrifice of Vice himself.
  • Wham Shot:
    • Sakura enters the main room of Happy Spa to find her parents and Daiji looking forlorn, realizing Ikki had left their home.
    • Shortly after Vice claims that he ate Ikki's family, we see a shot of the Igarashis besides Genta entering the scene, with Sakura and Yukimi carrying ketchup bottles that imply they were in on Vice's plan.
  • The Worf Effect: Destream suffers a humiliating defeat by Vice possessing a rubber ducky with the Giffard Rex Vistamp, though it's later subverted as Genta was in on Vice's plan and the fight was staged to convince his son that Vice had truly turned evil.
  • You Say Tomato: George and Hiromi bicker mid-episode about how to pronounce "parfait".
