Vice has decided to make Ikki stop considering him as family to restore his memories and break the contract. But when it does so, what will that mean for Vice's existence?

"We're family, aren't we?"

Tropes

  • Back for the Finale:
    • Several of the Deadman contract holders from the early episodes (Ayaka, Mayu, Scammer #3, and Subaru Kimura) — and Orteca — make an appearance here.
    • The form changes pre-Barid Rex make a return here after Ikki and Vice basically Rider Kick each other out of their Ultimate forms.
  • Batman Gambit: Vice's plan is to have Ikki transform and fight him, which would end up voiding their contract because Ikki's transformation would come at the price of losing memories of his family, in this case Vice, which in turn would lead to Vice disappearing because his existence is based on their contract in the first place.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Vice's plan works, and Ikki regain his memories at the cost of Vice's existence and his memories of him. Months later, we see everyone is doing fine and Ikki is now pursuing his own dreams, while Vice is properly remembered by everybody else. And from Ikki's last scene before The Stinger, it's shown that maybe, a part of Vice still lives with him....
  • Book Ends: In Vice's first TV appearance, he's shown farting around. In Vice's final (for now) TV appearance, he once more breaks out the gas.
  • Call-Back: During one of their Remixes, Vice farts in Ikki's face.
  • The Cameo: Yokohama F.C. footballer Kazuyoshi Miura appears As Himself.
  • Disappears into Light: After burning up the last of their memories together, Vice turns into a translucent blue light before fading back into Ikki.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: In the final scene of the episode Ikki finds an odd package with a "DGP" logo on it left on his bicycle; but before he can examine it further, the package is snatched away by Ace Ukiyo, who claims it's rightfully his and opens it to reveal a small device with the Revice Driver printed on it. Ace then tells Ikki they'll meet again and walks off as he plugs the device into his belt.
  • Grand Finale: For Revice.
  • Lighthearted Rematch: Downplayed. Once Ikki sees that Vice's atrocities and going bad were all faked, and thus realizing what Vice is trying to do, while they still have to tragically "battle" with each other till Vice fades, round two basically becomes a more lighthearted comedic romp with no real animosity anymore. It merely becomes a matter of spending time burning Ikki's memories of Vice that fuel the latter's existence, so they might as well have fun while they still can.
  • Mass "Oh, Crap!": Everyone else lets out one when Ikki sees Lovekov's tail poking out from behind a building, which means Vice's plan is exposed.
    • Minor one in the final scene with the family. His siblings and parents snap at attention when Ikki gushes about his food the way Vice would, but then brush it off.
  • Once More, with Clarity: Vice explains The Plan to the Igarashis and their inner circle in a flashback.
  • Regained Memories Sequence: Ikki has one of his family after Vice vanishes.
  • Rule of Symbolism: Once Ikki regains his memories of his family and they hug, the scene cuts to him reappearing in all his family photos.
  • Sequel Hook: Ace promises Ikki they'll meet again, setting the stage for the winter crossover.
  • The Unreveal: We're never shown what Vice's Volcano Rex form looks like, given that he starts disappearing just before he could get to use the Vistamp.
  • "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue: A few months later, we see how everyone is doing:
    • Ikki resumes his soccer career with Zico and Subaru, and even gets to meet his idol Kazuyoshi Miura, who encourages him to go pro.
    • Daiji rebrands Fenix as the "Blue Bird Organization", and is joined by Hiromi, Hana and Tamaki.
    • Sakura is studying with the intention of going to medical school, with Lovekov by her side.
    • Hikaru is leading a normal life.
    • Yukimi becomes a video content creator, with help from Genta and Buu-san.
    • Olteca is still locked up in prison for his crimes.
    • Encouraged by Hiromi, George finally makes a proper visit to his father's grave.
    • Happy Spa now keeps a rubber duckie themed after Vice as a "Guardian Demon".
  • Wrecked Weapon: Armor, in this case. Ikki and Vice Rider Kick each other out of their Ultimate forms, literally shattering the armor. They continue their "fight" through the Vistamps of the early episodes.
