  • Asshole Victim: The two investors who were trying to kill Darius, Ben, and Brooklyn, and Kash who has been repeatedly trying to kill people are all eaten by dinosaurs.
  • Downer Ending: Big time. Kenji, thinking that his friends don’t care for him, locks them up in a glass cage, soberly disowns them, and then sides with his evil father.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Kenji completes his separation from the group when his father is almost killed thanks to them freeing the dinosaurs.
  • Plot-Mandated Friendship Failure: Kenji turns his back on the rest of the campers for not only refusing to trust him, but also endangering his dad's life and getting the investors killed by the dinosaurs.
  • Rule of Symbolism: When Kenji locks up the Camp Fam in as a gesture of severing their friendship, the battle lines are established symbolically. Kenji and his father are on the outside of the prison cell, representing he's thrown his lot in with his father and his dinosaur-controlling plan (if in a misguided belief he actually cares for him). The campers are inside the prison cell, signifying they've sided with saving the dinosaurs.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Kenji chews the others out for getting the investors killed and nearly killing his dad, and for refusing to trust him.
  • Would Hurt a Child: The investors waste no time turning their dinosaurs on the children when they start interfering. Two of them get eaten for it.
