Heroes and Capes

  • 10-Minute Retirement: El Kabong temporarily becomes a plumber.
  • Actor Allusion: In the Spanish dub, Peter in one scene mentioned that he had to buy action figures from The Seven Deadly Sins, an anime series whose Spanish dubbing is directed by Arturo CataƱo, who also plays Peter in Jellystone!.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Mildew's arm falls off.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Blue Falcon swoops in to save Huck when he is stuck in the sewer, outshining El Kabong.
  • Blob Monster: The icky goop from the locked sewer rises up to become a goop monster.
  • The Cameo: Mr. Hothead from Yogi's Gang is shown running away from Huck.
  • Cat Up a Tree: El Kabong spots a cat in a tree to save before Captain Caveman beats him to it.
  • Distressed Dude: At the beginning of the episode, Huckleberry is stuck in a sewer hole. Soon, everyone else jumps into the hole to see him in there.
  • Everyone Is a Super: Blue Falcon encourages everyone to become a superhero.
  • Gag Nose: Cindy's chemical concoction causes her to have a large red nose.
  • The Gimmick: All of the heroes have a specific gimmick. Wally Gator becomes The Pogo Prince and jumps on a pogo stick. Captain Caveman becomes Ladder Man, using ladders for his rescues. Cindy becomes a Science Hero. Huckleberry gets gold armor.
  • Glory Seeker: Blue Falcon. He is really just a rich guy who isn't any good at fighting crime, and was only in it for the money.
  • Humble Hero: El Kabong keeps his integrity and refuses the wing shack gift card when it is offered to him.
  • Miles Gloriosus: Blue Falcon boasts about himself while shilling his merchandise, but he is a coward when faced with the goop monster.
  • Mind over Matter: Cindy's chemicals give her the ability to control objects, which she uses to put the ladder in place.
  • Mythology Gag: In the Spanish dub, Huckleberry sings his Character Signature Song "My Darling Clementine" while trapped in the sewer.
  • Overly-Long Tongue: Cindy gets a long, snake-like tongue thanks to chemicals.
  • Plumber's Crack: El Kabong makes sure to reveal his buttcrack when he becomes a plumber.
  • Professor Guinea Pig: Cindy in her superhero persona of The Live Experiment spends all her time attempting to give herself superpowers by drinking random concoctions and mutating herself. She later admits that the sole reason she became a superhero was to self-experiment without it being weird.
  • The Real Heroes: El Kabong says that the real heroes are ordinary people like the electricians, mailmen, and plumbers.
  • Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: When Blue Falcon sees the goop monster, he just leaves. This causes the town to dislike him.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Wally groans "Oh, great. Is the horse in a mask preaching to us?" This is similar to a line from the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Band Geeks": "Oh, so now the talking cheese is gonna preach to us."
    • In the Spanish dub, Huckleberry's persona was named "The Zodiac Mayor", referencing the name of Saint Seiya in Spanish, "The Zodiac Knights".
  • Special Guest: Rob Riggle as Blue Falcon.
  • Swiper, No Swiping!: Boo-Boo aka Simple Sailor manages to stop a villain just by telling him to go to the pier.
  • Take My Hand!: A variant. El Kabong tries to use his guitar to rescue Huck from the sewer, but it is not long enough.
